We stayed in the El Morro RV Park with friends and found a great time. The staff had a bonfire for us where we played guitar and sang. Great time!

Our group of three photographers was in the area for a photoshoot and booked at the El Morro RV Park & Cafe sight unseen, yet we couldn't have been more delighted with the choice.
We had changed our reservations three times, yet upon our arrival Maqui graciously showed us all the available options and chated pleasantly with us. At no time were we made to feel like the pains-in-the-you-know which we certainly must have been.
We decided upon two standard cabins and the guest house. All were extremely clean, warm and comfortable. The cabins are furnished with personality. My Deer cabin linens included a colorful woven blanket and bathmat. This brings up an important point - unlike most campgrounds where I've stayed the cabins here are each equipped with bathroom, refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. During our December visit 13" of beautiful snow fell during the night blanketing the evergreens in soft white. Waking to this lovely vista and being able to shower and make coffee right in our cabins was a real treat.
During our visit we ate lunch and breakfast in the unique Ancient Way Cafe, filled with beautiful artwork. All of the staff were warm & friendly and our meals were excellent. The dishes are freshly prepared from scratch using local ingredients as much as possible. The smoked (on premises) turkey panini with home-made pesto and potato salad was a real treat. Our breakfasts were equally delicious.
Most importantly, the staff is so warm and open we felt as though we were among friends. We learned much about the unique community of Ramah.
Our photoshoot had to be cancelled due to the snow. When we return we'll definitely stay at El Morro RV Park & Cafe again!

My group stayed in two cabins at the El Morro RV Park & Cabins in October 2008. We arrived at night after a long drive from southern New Mexico. I stayed in one of the standard cabins - The Horse. My three colleagues stayed in a deluxe cabin - The Bear. Both cabins were nicely furnished and very clean. The interior decor of the cabins is very pleasant. A microwave oven and coffee maker are provided. After spending a restful night of sleep, we awoke and walked to the Ancient Way Cafe. The cafe normally opens at 9 AM, but they let us in as an exception to have some coffee at 8 AM. The people working in the cafe were friendly and charming. They offered very helpful advice about how to visit local attractions, such as Inscription Rock and the prehistoric pueblo atop El Morro and also the things to see and do in Zuni Pueblo.

If you would like to stay at a charming, out-of-the-way place when you are visiting this area, then I would highly recommend the El Morro RV Park & Cabins and the Ancient Way Cafe. The cabins are wonderful, the cafe is cosy, the the people who work at the cafe are friendly and nice. Altogether, it was a joyful experience, with very positive energy all around.

Wanting to take our Trailer out for the weekend and include some hiking we decided to head west from Albuquerque. After looking on the web we spotted an RV park called El Morro RV park. It listed RV spots each had all hook ups (water, electricity & dump) made our RSVP the night before. When we got there we looked at the last 5 spaces they had open and none of them had all 3 hook ups. The only spot left to put our trailer at was so narrow we couldn't have sat outside in chairs without being on a slant, no room for a table and it had 12 inch weeds all around, the electricity hook up was so far our cord couldn't reach! We left. Go back to Grants and stay at one of those RV locations.
