Grants, NM is a tiny town about an hour east of Gallup. This quality Inn is a good quiet, clean place with all amenities right off Hwy 40 to stop on your journey. This is hotel with interior access rooms, not a motel, like most of the surrounding properties. It has a large area for continental breakfast (included), a lounge area with TV, interior small lap pool and jajuzzi (no restaurant or bar). We got in late at night without a reservation and even though their normal rate what almost twice that of the Days Inn next door, the courteous front desk staff offered to match the Days Inn rate ($49.99). Even though it was 10:30 pm, the manager was overseeing the staff and everyone was professional, friendly and customer service-oriented. Our room was enormous and included a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot in a separate area outside of the bathroom. The bathroom was modern and large. Counter was long with huge framed mirror (nice touch), higher counter, large tub/shower with lower tub height for EZ access and bowed shower curtain bar for more room and wall niche to set shampoo and soap. Soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion are provided plus a sign to call the front desk if you need other complimentary amenities. The room had a dresser, flat screen TV, computer desk, couch, coffee table, nightstands, clock radio and good lighting. The wall air conditioner worked extremely well even on “low”. A large window had blackout privacy curtains. The room was extremely clean and the bed very comfortable with a down comforter covered by a sheet on each side and a beautiful bedspread. Our room was more accessible for a handicapped person than most standard hotel rooms we see. The breakfast had fresh fruit, a choice of cereals, juices, milk, pastries and toast. I highly recommend this hotel! This Quality Inn is part of Choice Hotels network so you can get credit for your stay if you are a member. It’s a great deal! If you stay at least 1 night on two separate trips or in 2 locations, you get a $50 credit toward your next stay. Sign up online at www.choicehotels.com.

We stayed at the Quality Inn in Grants, NM. at the end of April. Check in was easy and, all the staff were wonderful. We were in room 423 facing open areas. It was a very nice, clean, newly remodeled, room. There was a desk, sofa, flat TV. and WORKING small refrigerator, microwave, plus the coffee maker in the room was the capsule type, and it made delicious coffee. We walked to the nearby Dollar Tree and Wal-Mart just east of motel. There was a very nice hot tub and pool that my husband enjoyed. The work out room had a bike, free weights but no light switch. There were loud trains running through the night but if you closed the windows and had the air on it wasn’t a problem. If you’re a jogger/runner – this was my route. Go west into town over the bridge on Rt. 66. The only dicey time was crossing the bridge into town as there wasn’t much of a shoulder, but the drivers were very nice and would slow down and move over. I went to the end of town and back on sidewalks.. Saw some very nice parks, memorials, schools, and flowers. There was a walking path along the river I didn’t get a chance to explore. There seemed to be residential areas to run through, also. Breakfast was very nice with yogurt, sausage, hard boiled eggs, pastries, and toast. There was plenty of juice, milk, and coffee. My only complaint was that when we checked in we asked about Internet access and password. After my husband working on connecting for over 30 minutes, he called the desk, and they told him it wasn’t working. First, tell the guests the Internet isn’t working at that time and second – get dependable service. When it’s advertised/ promoted, it needs to work – all the time. Otherwise, I would love to stay here again and explore Grants more. Quality stay.

We tried to use the WI-FI, and eventually called the support line. They called the front desk and were told the WI-FI was out of order. I called the front desk, and after a little prodding the girl admitted that the WI-FI had been out of order for a week and a half. I asked if there would be some discount for the lack of WI-FI, and she said I'd have to talk to the manager, who took the day off. After I pressed her, she admitted that the manager had been granting discounts to other unhappy guests, but wouldn't tell me how much. You'd think that if they had an ongoing problem, they'd just tell you about it at check in, and not waste the guest's time.

We were surpised by heavy snowfall (beginning of April 2012 !!!) and were forced to an overnight stay in Grants. The checkin was smooth and the receptionist very friendly. Rooms very clean, spacious and comfy beds, nothing to complain at all. The complimentary breakfast was nice too. Excellent stay for a very low price. Best price/quality ratio I ever encountered!

We stayed two nights while in town for a science fair. The room was spacious and well appointed with a microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig coffee maker. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the pool was warm enough to truly enjoy. Most importantly, when we found ourselves with a dozen science fair participants with no place to go on a frigid day, the staff gladly allowed us to entertain them in the spacious lobby/breakfast area. I highly recommend this place.

My family of 4 including 2 small children were caught in an unexpected snow storm on our way to Gallup from Albuquerqe that surprised everyone- including the thousands on the interstate. I had no chance to check reviews or anything, just called each hotel one by one until I got someone with a vacancy. We made phone reservations and the gentleman who was extremely helpful and when we arrived, the staff we met was just the same. Room is clean, beds are comfortable and large, has nice facilities, with plenty in the room like a keurig coffee pot just to name one of many. I would definately stay here again and recommend anyone else to as well.

Room Tip: downstairs rooms must be easy to hear the upstairs neighbors. my kids are small as as they walked to...

Stayed here on November 25th on the way west. It turned out to be more than adequate. We had a king room. It was neat and clean with the standard tub-shower combo. There was an iron and board, hair dryer and a Keurig coffee maker. Nice touch. It has an indoor pool, but we did not use it. The continental breakfast was pretty standard. Okay, but nothing to write home about. Interestingly, about 15 minutes after checking in, the desk called just to see if it was okay and if we needed anything. The staff we encountered were very friendly and accommodating.

The location is convenient to I-40 and it suited our needs for a one-nighter on our trip.
