We spent two nights in the Zuni cabin and had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. We explored the nearby areas of El Malpais and El Morro knowing that we had a very comfortable place to return to each night. Sheri's breakfasts were delicious - although the kitchen was so well equipped we could have prepared breakfast easily ourselves. There was wifi to stay in touch with the outside world. The cabin is decorated with many interesting items and the surrounding yard and garden were wonderful to explore as well as just sit and soak up the sun. You can meet Cimarron himself in the fenced paddock! A woodstove added to the warmth of the already adequate heating system. I wish it had been a little warmer so we could have sat outside and enjoyed the back patio at night! We would definitely stay at Cimarron Rose again!

We chose Cimarron based on other reviews and our desire to avoid the tangled web of motels in Gallup where we were committed to some work projects. I really wish we had more time to explore the lovely property, put our feet up in the garden, and grab a meal from the cafe down the road. However, we enjoyed our stay immensely. We brought some groceries in Grants as we headed west, and Sheri supplied great instructions on how to use the classic gas and wood burning stoves. Because of an early departure time, she left us beautiful quiche, homemade bread, and fresh fruit and juice the night before. This B&B deserves more time to kick back and chill out!

We were looking for a place with character to base our local exploring from. This was perfect. Secluded. Even the smaller rental had plenty of space for my husband and I. Large, fully equipped kitchen; the most comfortable pillows we'd had for a while on the road. Had the weather been a bit better we would have spent time in our own patio area. And her sense of decorating really made the rooms a fun place to be. The bit of cabin included a fancy shower system in the claw-footed tub and cooking on a true antique gas stove which worked fine.

We didn't chose the breakfast option but there was still fresh coffee, half and half, muffins and butter in the fridge as well as a tasty dessert treat provided each night.

We had the run of the full art gallery and had cd collection with a player. Were grateful the wi fi worked great (even tho AT&T doesn't have cell coverage in that area.) We didn't get to meet Tom which was too bad as he seems a really interesting person.

Sheri is a thoughtful, attentive host....a very caring person.

For the past three years now, a volunteer group of 12 people from my university has come and stayed at the Cimarron Rose for a week in January. While using the Cimarron Rose as a base, our group travels in the Grants/Gallup area to perform health screens for children at different Head Start sites on the Navajo Reservation. Our group also spends time delivering food and firewood to elderly and remotely located individuals on the reservation, which can be especially difficult to reach in the winter months.

I've been fortunate enough to come for the past two of these trips, and each year the group has been absolutely thrilled with the Cimarron Rose. It is such a comfortable, warm, and peaceful place to come home to. I have only the best to stay about the facilities (the kitchen especially as we cook for our big group!), ambiance, and the owners--who are incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I sincerely hope that as this volunteer trip continues to run in the future, the Cimarron Rose remains our cozy haven to return to.

Room Tip: Because our group was so large, we rented out the Zuni Mt suite and the Bandera suite for the trip v...

Thank you so much Claire for taking the time (which is precious) to write this wonderful review.

I'm so happy to know that everyone enjoyed their stay with us. As I often say, I'm happy when our guests are happy". Please let me know if you have any suggestions, etc. as you and your group of students would most definitely know if you were needing anything that we did not already provide.

Sincerely,

Sheri

Was lucky enough to land in a room here during a night on my stay exploring the local national parks and absolutely fell in love with this B&B. Sheri is a beautiful person with an amazing spirit and it shows in her accommodations. The room was homey, warm, and wonderfully kept. The gardens and surrounding land are equally as beautiful and show the tender touch of a loving spirit in every bit of their nature. It was fun to both explore the surrounding land and enjoy a nice glass of wine in the garden while watching the numerous birds that came to enjoy their dinner as well. CD's in the room provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of writing and reading in the room. A piece of chocolate cake was left as a little after dinner treat and the homemade breakfast frittata was absolutely outstanding. As a woman traveling alone through a fairly rugged area, I felt completely secure, safe, and indulged while staying here. So happy to have found this treasure and look forward to returning!

We were visiting the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary and wanted to stay someplace close. This was like a dream. There are three suites, each equally charming, on beautiful grounds with 2 goats and a horse, much loved. There is a lovely little shop and gallery with VERY good prices on Zuni fetishes, sculpture and a small amount of jewelry.

One of the owners, Sheri, rescued and rejuvenated this wonderful place. It has so much spirit and character, like her. Her husband, who I did not meet, is the director of ther Zuni Cultural Center.

We could have stayed longer ! There aren't many restaurnts nearby. You would have to go to Gallup for a little more selection.

Cimarron Rose is located in the middle of the forest. Birds, squirrels and rabbits are familiar. We stayed three nights in the Bandera suite, very spacious, well equipped and clean. It has a nice patio where we had dinner. Breakfast comes at 9 am and it is big enough for lunch, too. The gallery has interesting art crafts and rugs. The owner is friendly and available and we enjoyed very much our holiday.
