This Inn was neat, clean and kept up. The overhead light could have been brighter but there were more than enough table lamps to cover. It was nice to have chairs outside each room to enjoy the fresh air.

You can walk to many local attractions including part of the battlefield, the National Soldiers' Cemetery, The Gettysburg Heritage Center and the Diorama. There are lots of restaurants nearby including some chain fast food places.

The breakfast foods were plentiful and better - fresh! The ladies took pride in making sure things were clean and full. I will definitely stay here next time we go to Gettysburg.

We had a one night stay here recently and were very happy with our hotel choice. We had a second floor room with an outdoor area that was listed as a balcony. It really was more of a shared walkway to all the rooms on our level, but was still nice. Our king room included a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had a great night's sleep on it. The hotel has a separate small building with the complimentary breakfast each morning. We were pleased with the choices. The battlefield is right next to the hotel and our room actually looked right out to the field. We would stay here again!

Cannot beat the location of this hotel! As close as you can get to being ON the battlefield...some rooms even look out onto the field of Pickett-Pettigrew-Trimble Charge...with many shops and restaurants (new brewpub across the street) in short walking distance.

And the staff is wonderful! It is always fun when Eric Landblade is tending bar in the Old Reliance Mine, located right on the property. Funky in all the right ways -- this is a must-visit watering hole.

My only issue was with the air conditioning unit in my room. At first it wouldn't turn on, so I contacted the front desk to find that the AC unit has a sensor in the room which will only turn the system on if someone is IN the room and moving around. I've never heard of this before, and since it was 99-degrees out, I was puzzled to figure out how to cool my room while I was at dinner or out on the battlefield. Daniel, the super-maintenance man of the property, came running to help and at least got the system to stay on long enough to get some relief. It seems like a policy that should at least be relaxed when it is summertime-hot outside. I'd ask about that if you are booking in the hot season -- it gets very steamy in Gettysburg and a cool room is a must!

Room Tip: Ask for a second floor room on the south side -- those overlook the battlefield!

Thank you! We are happy to be your home away from home! There are sensors on the AC units to avoid heating/cooling an empty room, but if it poses a problem for guests we are able to bypass the system. See you next time!

We stayed at this hotel over the weekend. The hotel was fine, but we were very disappointed that the outdoor pool was closed. It was 90! We are hoping that the pool we will be back open in 2017.
Love the Reliance Mine!

Thanks for your stay with us! Although an unforeseen leak caused us to close the pool for the season earlier than expected, we still have an indoor pool that our guests are able to swim in. And don't worry, the outdoor pool will be back up and running for summer 2017! See you next year!
