Our stay at the Brickhouse Inn B&B was fantastic. We normally do not stay in B&B's but we felt very comfortable and at ease staying at the Brickhouse Inn. The owner's and staff were very nice and our room was very well kept and clean. All the breakfast served were delicious along with the desserts served after breakfast and through out the day. The location of the B&B is great. It is in walking distance to downtown Gettysburg and a short drive to the battlefields of Gettysburg.

This bread & breakfast was close to the places to see in Gettysburg. The historic sense of the actual inn was impressive. The innkeepers were very accommodating. Beautiful grounds were well cared for and surely are beautiful in the summer. We were sorry we visited in October; however, we missed the crowds for which we were thankful.

My husband and I accompanied by another couple stayed two nights at the Brickhouse Inn. We had the Ohio room on the third floor. They had the South Carolina room also on the third floor. Our room was a bit small, so if and when we can do it again, I would rather do the second floor in a larger room. But! the breakfasts were excellent--served with desert! The Inn is positively spotless. We all heartily recommend it! Thank you to Tessa and Brian.

I have stayed at this b&b many times and each time I am more and more impressed! The location can't be beat, right in the middle of downtown Gettysburg and within walking distance of shops, resturants and historical areas. Battlefields are in walking distance and some are couple minute drives. As far as the b&b goes the rooms are beautiful and very clean. They are large rooms and great for families. The hospiltality can't be beat and brunch is served in the main dining room. Highly recomend this for your next stay.

We really enjoyed our two-night stay here in the "Alabama room". It was in the Welty house, which dates to the Battle and still has bullet holes in the walls. The room was very clean and comfy. Our only minor gripe was a faux-fireplace unit that we could not get to turn on. Brian, the owner, had shown it to us on the day we arrived, and had mentioned it was tricky. We could never get it to turn on afterwards. This was not a big deal, however, as the room had another heat source.

The location is perfect, within easy walking distance of several restaurants, shops, and spots on Cemetery Hill. The inn itself is beautiful. Cookies were available in the afternoon, as well as drinks in the fridge. Coffee was also available. The breakfasts were very tasty and filling. An appetizer is offered as well as several choices of pie or other goodies for desert. Tessa, the other owner, was concerned one morning when I didn't eat all of my parfait (I don't enjoy kiwi). She seemed genuinely interested in making sure I was pleased with the meal.

Speaking of Tessa and Brian, I would say they maybe aren't as interactive with the guests as a few other B&Bs I've stayed at. To me, this is fine - I prefer not to be smothered. My wife agrees. I think they tend to be perhaps a little more formal in their hosting. We are probably on the young side for B&B guests (in our late 20s), but they didn't make us feel unwelcome at all.

Altogether, I can't say anything but positives about the Brickhouse Inn. It will certainly be on our list to return to the next time we visit Gettysburg.

The Brickhouse Inn is in the perfect location to enjoy the historical sites, restaurants, and shops of Gettysburg. It was easy to find, the breakfasts were very good, the rooms were clean and inviting. My pre-visit questions and requests were answered quickly and professionally by email, and Brian and Tessa are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our three nights at the Brickhouse Inn. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and varied. We enjoyed our three-hour trip through the Battlefield with John Zervas booked for us by the Brickhouse Inn. He was Great!! It sure would have been nice to stay longer, but we were on a big trip to see all the major battlefields of the Civil War and more. We liked being close to the town where we could walk if we wanted to. If we ever go back to Gettysburg we will definitely stay there again and we highly recommend it.

Room Tip: All the rooms were probably good and we enjoyed staying in the Alabama Room in the Welty House.
