Yes, it was clean, and the breakfast was all sugar and good. However, it is shabby- room needed new rug, nothing special-- no flowers, no wine served, flower pot on patio with weeds in it, and NOT private. Lattice work between the patios- so you have NO privacy. tennis court has gone to weeds. Coffee pot did not work. Price much too high. Would NEVER stay there again- Double day Inn looks quite elegant, gets good reviews, has a fabulous view, and same price. This is way overpriced. No tv in room, could not find a tv anywhere, hifi and cell phone coverage not good. Should be lower price on Weeknights anyway- only one other couple there.

The Inn is beautiful and located near the battlefield very close to the Visitors' Center. Suzanne is a wonderful cook and her breakfast's are to die for. She even offers gluten free meals for those who are gluten intolerant. Not only is Suzanne the gracious hostess, but her staff are very friendly and make you feel like you've known them for years.
I'd go back in a heartbeat!!!!

The Baladerry Inn is secluded yet, is accessible to all parts of Gettysburg. Beautiful and like being at home. Suzanne greets you when you walk through the door, giving you a hug and tour of the place. Her breakfasts are to die for...seriously! We had a blazing fire in the evening, and our group had a blast. If you're looking for a 'haunting experience', this is the place to come to. Our group had various personal experiences and we were not disappointed! I'll be going back again most definitely. The staff was fabulous too and very friendly. I can't say enough about the Baladerry Inn!

My husband and I traveled to Gettysburg for a weekend of history, time alone and ghost tours. We loved the Baladerry Inn. The grounds are beautiful and secluded, yet just around the corner from everything. Suzanne is a wonderful host. Her staff was great. The room was clean and comfortable. I can't tell you how delicious the breakfast was each morning. The tables are set up so you can dine with your travel partner and not with other guests. We chose to eat on the terrace. We had scones or muffins they packed for us as an afternoon snack as we toured the park. We will be back. Take the Ghost Tour (off sight) with Miss Betty and ask about the history of the Inn as a field hospital!

Inn was set in a good location to visit Gettysburg. Very peaceful setting. Breakfasts were excellent and staff was attentive. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, quiet and clean.
Felt that Inn could have done a better job at keeping bottled water supplied to its guests. As days that we were there it was hot and humid.

The Baladerry Inn is the most beautiful, ideally located B&B you could hope for! Such a restful place! My fiancee and I enjoyed a wonderful spring weekend there in April. The grounds were beautiful, the breakfast was finely-prepared and presented, and the innkeeper, staff and guests were nothing short of charming. The Inn offers plenty of space to roam, with lawn and patio areas, a gazebo and tennis court. Rooms are spacious with well-appointed bathrooms and comfortable beds. I would highly recommend the Baladerry to even the most discriminating traveler

Being a historical buff on the civil war and not having been to Gettysburg since I was a boy, I was dying to see the "newly"repaired cyclorama at the new Gettysburg museum.

After searching the tripadvisor on the internet I settled on the Baladerry Inn.

The reviews were great and the location was great as well.

Just outside of town but, close enough to the museum and if you like to shop, the outlets are just up the road.

Suzanne is a wonderful innkeeper and all the rooms are well appointed and cozy with fireplaces, etc.

I purposely picked the first week in December so there would be no crowds at the museum and the town was decked out for Christmas.

You can't go wrong at the Baladerry Inn. Enjoy!

  • Liked — the inn itself and its prximity to historical sites, town and outlets.
  • Disliked — nothing
