My husband and I did the Jennie Wade Tour. I am glad that we did. The house is small but the guides dressed in period clothing were great at explaining the story of Jennie and what happened to her on that day. It was really cool to be standing in the same house as so much history took place!

Like the Shreiver House, the Jenny Wade House gives the account of what the everyday residents' suffered through as a result of the battle being waged all over their quite little town, and the aftermath of what the armies left after the battle. It's told through the story of a young girl, Jenny Wade, who was the only civilian killed during the battle. Definately worth your time to get "the other side" of the story.

My friends and I decided to take the day tour of the Jennie Wade House in the morning and then take the ghost tour that was offered at night. The morning tour was very informative and had a lot of information about the house, the occupants of the home, and the Civil War in general. The ghost tour, which is offered at night, was a decent tour, but not the best ghost tour of a building in the Gettysburg area. I would say if you are looking for somewhere to tour, either for a ghost tour or an educational experience during the day, this should be near the top of the list of places to go.

This was our first tour in Gettysburg. The curator was great. He dressed in the period and was very knowledgeable. The little house in the middle of Gettysburg where the one and only civilian died. Poor Jenny Wade, I think everyone would love this part of history.

Excellent tour! Very informative regarding the Wade family and their experiences in this house during the battle at Gettysburg. The house contains several authentic artifacts and photography is allowed. The house is supposedly haunted (my favorite type of attraction), and I felt pressure on my shoulder and nausea in the basement (ghosts??). Ghostly Images also offers nighttime ghost tours of this location (they are fantastic, we did their haunted orphanage tour). If you are into the paranormal, this is one of the must-see locations in Gettysburg!
