Truly awful. Our meals - the main dishes and all side dishes - were stone cold. The service was indifferent. Perhaps the staff are demoralized by having to serve less-than-mediocre fare to unsuspecting visitors.

We had the worst time and service I can remember at the rear portion of the Farnsworth House (Sweeney's Tavern). Four of us were seated and ordered drinks. They arrived after 50minutes. 2 drinks came of the 4 we ordered. The waiter was advised and off he went to get the other drinks... 5 minutes or so later he walked passed with a different order. After about 10 minutes we asked him again for the other two drinks... off he went again... more time passes.... still no drinks... After about 50 minutes he finally takes the food order .... still no drinks which he assures us will be there soon...
Watch out if you go there. There really is no service. Food is WAY overpriced. Poor Management. They know it's a tourist area and they will not improve the service because most patrons are a one shot deal. I know I will never return on my next visit to Gettysburg.

We sat outside on a warm Spring evening eating the kind of food that a traveller of the Civil War period would have enjoyed. Staff in period dress are very knowledgable about the battle and the town.

Food was decent but expensive. Service was ok. Had "game" pkt pie but couldn't finx pheasant or duck. Pickled watermelon was great.

Went with a group of 6. Love the wait staff dressed in period attire. The food was really good, especially the spoon bread (my favorite).
