“Disregard the "Bad Reviews"”
Reviewed July 23, 2011

This is a nice, well maintained, clean, "small' campground". I stayed here with my son and three other families (we rented the 4 kabins across from the pool). The staff is friendly enough and leaves you to yourself. .. The Kabin were clean and supplied with a small refrigerator and an air conditioner, bunk beds and a full size bed . After that there's not much. There's no closet or chest-of drawers, but I remind you that you are camping. My son and I loved the Kabin and can't wait to come back.
....all of the hostile reviews must come from the hostile type because let me tell you, my friends and I were up until 4:30 in the morning drinking around the fire and NOT ONE staff member bothered us for being TO LOUD. Oh maybe that's because we weren't being loud!!! I believe that if your not disturbing other campers and not being a general nuisance then you won't be bothered by the AWESOME staff.
I would come back here anytime, in fact we're planning on it!!

my favorite place to camp has always been the KOA in Gettysburg ... it is amazing place to see ... you'll remember being there for rest of your life. Robert E. Lee took Confederate Aramy into Gettysburg w/75,000 man Army ... ... met Union Army w/90,000 troops ... over 51,000 men did not leave the battle field.

go there this summer with your family, they'll never forget coming to Gettysburg!!!

The KOA at Gettysburg was a pleasant surprise for us. We rented a cabin with a bathroom because I didn't like the idea of the bath house........We loved it, very rustic.
Close enough to the town of Gettysburg, but away from all the bustle.
Our cabin was very clean and cozy. It had a queen bed, bunk bead and a fold out sofa.
It had a nice porch and a fire pit for grilling and campfires.
although the parking was a little tight, we did OK.
We stayed over Memorial day weekend and they had some neat activities, living history encampments etc.
The staff was very friendly and informative. Would definitly stay again.

We stayed at this KOA for the first time. We were greeted by a friendly man (Skip) who was driving a golf cart as soon as we pulled in. He showed us directly to our site and helped my husband get the camper backed into the site without any problem. The site was kinda narrow, with our awning open and a small slideout open we filled the site. Bike riding for my son was difficult because of the steep hill, but there was plenty to do, however Skip came to the rescue again and delivered his bike to our campsite when he could not ride it up the hill. Saturday night ghost story was great! A great experience. Check in staff was ok, but not overly friendly and welcoming. Just the basics. Nature trail was awesome and worth the hike.

One of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. The dog park is clean and safe, the staff extremely friendly, rates acceptable, and sites well maintained and flat.

Our family of 5 along with 4 other families (family of 4, 3 ,3 & another 3) stayed in 4 of the "basic Kottages. They were very nice & clean. Ther location was ontop of a hill in a wooded setting which we really liked. We arrived HALLOWEEN weekend. We were told our talking & laughter was too loud. Not 1, not, 2 not even 3 but 4 times we were told this. We were told we should save our joke telling for during the day not after quiet hours. Which by the way I've come to believe they mean "SILENT TIME." Our cheering for the 7 children in our group while bobbing for apples was disturbing other campers.(This took place @ 8:45pm) P L EA S E!!!!! The noice level policy (noice must be at a minimum at all times) is our library's policy too!!!! We thought after spending $1800.00(cabins, extra people, ice, firewood & gifts from gift shop) our family & friends (we traveled 3 hrs, other friends traveled 4 & 5 hrs) would be able to laugh & cheer for our kids. We camp atleast 5 times a year for the past 6 years(we've camped @ 9 different KOA's) & have NEVER been told we were to "LOUD" We WE WILL NOT be visiting this KOA campground again!!!!!!!!!!
