Excellent service and experience. The room was very comfortable
The quilt made sleeping too difficult for it was too warm..

We loved this hotel. It is very large and has a restaurant (room service), bar, and very nice indoor pool and hottub. They tout the pool as the biggest in Gettyburg and it was beautiful. My seven year old loved playing in it after walking the battlefields all day!
We booked a larger two queen room and it was nice, although at the end of a very long hallway. Not a problem for us, as it was very private and large, but for those who cannot walk a long while, be sure to ask where the room is located. The room itself was very nice, clean with extremely comfortable beds. I mean really really comfortable. Also, the blackout curtains worked very well. We woke up not knowing if it was light out.
I also like the bathroom and did not find it small at all. it is a stand up shower, all tile, with an interested glass door that is open at one side. I am not sure why people would complain about this, but I really liked it. Better than a nasty shower curtain.
We ordered room service for breakfast one morning and it came very quickly, was not any more expensive than a typical restaurant and I found the food to be very good.
The location was also great, as there are a few restaurants within walking distance. There is also a movie theater within walking distance that my husband was able to take my son to while I was with the car at my alumni weekend event. Made it very convenient without a car for them.
I usually stay at Hilton's but was very impressed with this Wyndham. I would not recommend any other hotel than this one while visiting the gettysburg area.
Also, it is within 10 minutes of the battlefields. The hotels closer to the battlefields all looked like they had seen better days!

My wife and I stayed at the Wyndham last weekend and it fully met our expectations as a five star property. It is situated on a large grassy parcel, close to Gettysburg.

Our room was large, well equipped and very clean. The bed was very comfortable which is important to me. I don't usually sleep well in hotels, so a high quality bed is a big deal.

The free internet fired up instantly which is nice and the cable TV had a good selection of channels.

The bar is a comfortable and convenient place for guests to hang out in the evenings. I also liked the decor throughout the hotel. The American history theme is accentuated by paintings of notable civil war figures from North and South. A real civil war era cannon dominates the lobby area. Nice touch! I liked that and the art work throughout the hotel very much.

Room Tip: Ask for an upper story room overlooking the grounds.

Recently went to Wyndham Gettysburg to celebrate a close friend daughters wedding but was highly disappointed with the hotel. This was not the cleanest hotel i have ever stayed in. The walls in the room had splatter stains on the walls and the bathroom mirror was completely streaked. The table lamp & the alarm clock did not work at all. No refrigerator in the room but if you asked the front desk the could find you one. The bar closed at 11:30 even when the complete wedding party & guests had just gotten there. Even when they announced last call the three women bartenders just stood around not caring if anyone wanted another drink or not. The service in the bar was poor at best. I have stay at other hotels all over the country for less money and have never dealt with anything like this. I should have stay at the Hampton up the street for lees money and better service. Never again.

Room Tip: Don't waste your money.

We just came back from spending a long weekend there. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. They have free wi-fi and the indoor pool was nice. We went to the bar and had a drink, but never went to the restaurant. When we were there the weather was really nice , but there was no area to sit outside.

We come to the wine and music festival every September and the Wyndham is our hotel of choice. For this event they offer a package that includes two tickets, two buffet breakfasts and a room for two at a very reasonable price. The hotel is located with-in sight/walking distance to the festival.

This property is decorated in Civil War motif with appropriate portraits and colors for the period. This property is always clean and bright. Always. The rooms are fresh and clean, albiet small. There is no refrigerator or DVD and while that is not a detriment for us there are some people who may want to know this.

The bathrooms are small but clean and the amenities are very nice. We have never had any issues with noise and that is saying a lot as with a wine festival you can image that people are partying late into the night.

The staff we have encountered have always been helpful, accommodating and friendly. WE will continue to book at this hotel as long as we go the wine & music festival.
