“Fantastic after a long day touring the battlefield”
Reviewed November 8, 2009

This is a small family run restaurant specializing in cheesesteaks, burgers, fries, and desserts. The food was terrific. The cheesesteak is as good as any top place in Philly, and the fries are hand made and fresh (vinegar in spray bottles on the tables was nice). The desserts are likely sourced from the area Amish community, as the pies were essentially home made and top notch. They also have REAL pretzels, and one of the desserts is a massive pretzel ice cream sandwich. The folks running the restaurant are exceptionally nice and the service was great. The decor is comprised of a huge amount of reproduction vintage posters and ads, as well as reproduction military stuff. And the price: low. Bottom line: this place is a great option if you're looking for great food in a relaxed setting right in town. Highly recommend.

“I'll be back!”
Reviewed September 8, 2009

Had lunch here on Saturday. Just might be the best fries I have had yet - fresh-cut with the skin left on, and cooked to order, crunchy exterior, light interior, lightly seasoned - and a spray bottle of malt vinegar on the table. One word - WOW. The cheesesteak was a bit salty but very good, a generous portion of meat on a fresh Italian bread.
The interior has limited seating and you may wait a bit for your food but it's worth it, everything is cooked to order, nothing made in advance.

“Great place, huge portions, awesome interior.”
Reviewed July 22, 2009

I liked this restaurant. There is not a lot of inside seating, but the decorations, signs, etc. all over the walls are fun to read. It was a little tough with my toddler because she wanted to look at everything! The portions were huge! If you have children, I would highly recommend having two children share one order of fries, depending on how much they usually eat. We walked away with a lot of food left that the kids didn't eat. For two adults and 3 kids, lunch was about $50, which I thought was a little expensive. Next time though I will take my own advice and split some orders. The food was very good. I didn't have any fries but did have a grilled chicken sandwich that was very good. My husband said that the cheese steak was great! Lots of toppings for the fries too. Everyone who ordered the fries liked them.

If you like hamburgers, fried, chicken tenders or cheesesteak, than Hunt's is a must stop for you. The food was excellent and the staff were some of the nices people I meet in Gettysburg.
