We have eaten here every time we visit Gettysburg and have a consistently excellent experience. We had a longer wait this visit due to the large crowd in town for the 150th anniversary, but were seated in less than the amount of time wait we were told. The food was excellent - a huge variety of items, everything you could want - fish, shrimp, pork , chicken with a carving station with beef and ham, a soup and salad bar, pasta and a large selection of dessert items. All you can eat and very reasonable prices. A great bargain for lunch or dinner. We had excellent service and the decor inside is all civil war themed and pictures of beautiful Gettysburg. A favorite place of ours to visit.

It's located right near the end of Steinwehr Ave., pretty much where your auto tour of the battlefield ends, so it's perfectly located after you've worked up your appetite. Lot's of great American staples like chicken, ribs, etc. So many choices, I did not get to sample half of what they had.Tasty and well prepared. Service is very friendly, too. Price is moderate, though it does go up for dinner. Try to get there by 3:30 to get the lunch price.

We stopped in for lunch 3/4 of the way through our auto Gettysburg tour. It was $9.95 per person and they seemed to have a good selection of choices. The staff was friendly and we were seated immediately. While getting our food we noticed there were flies everywhere. We gave it the benefit if the doubt and brought our meals back to our seats. While eating, the flies were all around us. It was disgusting. We had to constantly swat our food and my husband covered his drink with his hand the entire time to keep them away. The food was OK at best but the flies made it a place we would not recommend. We left before having dessert.
