The waitstaff dresses in period clothes. The meal is filling and the desserts are wonderful. It is a house from the 1700's built by a preacher for his wife and 19 children. It was also used as a local school.

Great food with a cool and historic environment. We ate there several times on our visit. Very close to the battlefields and other attractions.

Ate here for the 1st time based on previous reviews and was not disappointed. Food was excellent, especially the homemade breads/cakes and the French Onion Soup. Also loved the sparkling cider. Price was reasonable given the quality and amount food. Atmosphere was cozey and unique.

With the downfall of Farnsworth House we switched to having dinner here. It is a little more pricey but the food is fantastic. The wait staff is very polite, all dressed in period attire. You would be wise to make reservations in advance because it really fills up. We love having dinner here. If you can get in on a house tour it is very informative and quite interesting.
