Another interesting story to go with this house. It is a little eerie to see all the filled in bullet holes on the side of the building. This house plays a big part in the Jennie Wade story, which I am not going to give away!

The staff is very courteous and willing to answer any questions that you might have. There are rocking chairs all along the large front porch which is really nice when you want to take a break from walking and still see the town. The museum and collection that they have is very well done and they usually have a group or band playing out on the lawn which is very nice touch. Definitely a need to see when in Gettysburg!

The Rupp House was not in our original plans for the day but we decided to stop in. It was interesting to be able to experience the way the family lived and how they had to flee their home during the battle. It was a hands on museum so we were all able to open drawers and see what was inside. Even better was the fact that it is free to visit! The Friends of Gettysburg maintain the house and do a great job. Everyone was very friendly.

This is an interactive museum that my children and nieces loved. Its interactive, so yes, they can actually touch things! Free admission on the weekends. This is a great history lesson for the whole family.

Very pleasantly surprise at this museum. We have passed it many times without stopping. So glad, we finally went in to view it. It is very informative and gives a good perspective on different aspects of the war. Very well done.
