Traveling from North Carolina to Gettysburg nearly every year means going to the same old places for a good meal gets old. That's why my family decided that this trip we would try some new places to eat. Trip advisor led us to Luke's American Grille which had nothing but great things to say about it. And quite frankly after eating here it's easy to see why. Set up like a small 50s diner the atmosphere is spot on and the cleanliness is an A++. The service was fast and friendly and from what I could tell the food was homemade. The food was delicious. I had a cheesesteak and my mother had a cheeseburger that she claims was the best of her life. My father had an Italian sausage sub that reminded him of his childhood in New York. Doughnuts are made fresh here daily as well. The place is fairly new and it will be a crying shame if this place closes. This is one of Gettysburg's best restaurants. Well worth the visit.

We found this 50's diner on TripAdvisor and we ate breakfast there two days in a row. It has great food, the staff is very friendly and efficient, it is immaculate and we really enjoyed the experience. The decor is true 50's with pictures and 50's rock and roll music. The egg omelettes are great and so are the freshly-made donuts. Try it!

My husband and teenage sons loved to donuts here! We spent a week in Gettysburg for our family vacation. 5 out of the 7 days, we were at Luke's getting donuts and coffee! The custard filled are the best!

This is a wonderful diner. So clean. Friendly staff. Awesome food. Had the walnut/apple salad and it was very good. Hamburgers were awesome. Mac n cheese great. Onion rings were best ever! Gotta try this place. Oh and the donuts are awesome too!

Walking around town and saw Luke's as we were looking for lunch. So glad we opted to go in! Very small, but a good set up. Super clean. You order at the counter and food is brought to your table (by the owner). Surprised to find vegetarian menu options. I ordered the (non vegetarian) special and loved it. Everyone in the family was happy with their meal!. Staff is very friendly. Seemed to be a local favorite too.
