This is one of the few places in downtown Gettysburg that does not charge an entrance fee. It is a great example of how communities can work together to save important historical sites. If you are a railroad buff, you might spend more time here, but you really can add the spot where Lincoln came to town to your visit with 10 minutes or less. If you really enjoy this type of history, speak to the person at the desk. They were extremely informative, very friendly and gave some neat insight to the restoration.

Enjoyed seeing the railroad and many of its exhibits but I found it kind of boring and the staff not very helpful. Hard to access if you are disabled too. Good skip going in and not miss much.

Started our walking tour of Lincoln's steps here. Nice small museum. We had a battlefield guide that added much more to the place than if we did it alone. Cool place to see where Lincoln arrived. Probably worth about 15 minutes of your time and some pictures. Ugly color of building. Original color is on a side wall away from tracks. Should be returned to that color.

This site was just loaded with history and information that caused me to reflect so much about the events of long ago.

Down near the square lies the railroad station where Lincoln came in to give his Gettysburg address. The museum is small and easy to go through within a half hour.
