Spent two nights here... and was very favorably impressed. Some other reviewers have noted a problem with noise.During our stay the hotel was occupied by many children and teenagers taking part in a large gymnastic competition. Some few did not control themselves and were not controlled by the adults with them... however, the noise in the hall or even in the rooms next door was never a problem for us; we thought the walls and doors shut out almost all noise.
The rooms were larger and more comfortably designed than I expected. Others have commented on the hotel staff who all seemed very helpful and pleasant. The indoor pool is small, but appeared clean. The complimentary breakfast was above average.. in terms of quality of food and helpfulness of dining room staff; you also can eat on front porch or back patio if you like.
One non-hotel suggestion: the private tour guides who drive your car around the town and battlefield are well-worth the $45 charge; that excellent experience made the rest of our 3-day stay all the more worthwhile. Guides available 8 AM at Visitors' Center. We had Phil L. who was very knowledgeable, humorous, and accommodating; I would guess all the guides are good.

Pros: Very clean, affordable, nice location (1/2 mile away)
Cons: A little noisey, continental breakfast could use some work.

We just stayed there on June 10 for a wedding.
Many others attending the wedding stayed here too.
Walls are pretty thin and the doors slammed very loud if you did not hold them
to prevent them from slamming.
The room was very clean, had a hairdryer, iron & board, staff was nice.
Complimentary breakfast was good.
The hotel was in the same parking lot as the outlets and TGI Fridays.
About a 6 minute drive to downtown Gettysburg and one of the closest hotels
to the Links at Gettysburg. No complaints. I would stay here again.

I can't say enough about this hotel. It exceeded our expectations. The rooms are clean and of good size. My family of five stayed in a room with two double beds and a sleeper sofa. The shower and water pressure were just fine…I’m 6’4” and just happy if I can use the shower without getting on my knees. The entire staff was nice, friendly, and accommodating. We really liked the complimentary breakfast, especially the waffles. Dottie does a find job keeping that breakfast room fresh and stocked. The hotel is the perfect place to stay for battlefield touring. It’s also only an hour from Hersheypark. We would stay here again and also look forward to staying at other Country Suites.

We have stayed in G'burg many times while our daughter attended the college.
The Country Inn and Suites is about 5-10 mins. from the college near the outlet stores.

The family suite has two double beds with a door separating it from a separate sitting area to make it a suite. The rooms are spacious and clean, and compared with other hotels in the area, we think it's the best room in town. We stayed at the G'burg Hotel/Best Western in the square but the room was small and the hotel unimpressive except for the front facade from the street.

The Country Inn and Suites fills up fast as it's no secret how good the rooms are, so reserve ahead for busy times. The complimentary breakfast is okay for when you're short on time, but the Lincoln Diner, or the Plaza restaurant, both in town, serve very good country breakfasts.
