We just returned from our second stay at the Inn and it was even better than the first (if that is even possible). The suites are so comforable, you may never want to leave, but the history just outside your door will not allow you to linger too long indoors! We strolled the square and visited all of the shoppes on Friday evening, followed by a great burger at the pub. We spent Saturday with a tour guide, arranged by Greg. Our new find this year was the Blue and Gray Bar just next door to the Inn. It is a great sports bar, good food, fun people. Greg and Jeannine could not do enough to make the stay more comfortable and you could not find two friendlier people. We will certainly return soon!

We spent 2 nights at the Inn, in the MJ Danner Suite on the 1st floor. Generously proportioned room feature a mini-kitchen, LCD TV, K-cup coffee maker, great lighting (unusual these days it seems)... punctuated by the personalized service of our hosts, Greg and Jeannine. Each day a weather report was slid under our door and we were treated to muffins & fruit, water in the fridge, and recommendations for shopping, touring, and dining. Greg organized a battlefield tour with John Zervas and dinner at the Dobbin House. We had a great time and thanks to their warmth and hospitality, felt part of this special historical city.

Greg and Janine made this a wonderful experience. Greg is The Historian and oh so accommodating. Our accommations were beyone "grand" and our stay was one to remember. Gracious, knowledgable, knows how to treat a guest.. this is a must for your visit to Gettysburg...
The bathroom was like home for me. that is a big deal...............Large Large, clean and plenty of room for us to spread out and take time starting our day.
Call at any time and the phone is answered by Greg or Janine..........no stupid "leave a message and we will call you when we feel like it" (Yummy Food basket was so appreciated as our arrival was late)

My daughter and I recently stayed at the Inn at Lincoln Square for one night. The Irene Danner Suite on the second floor was so comfortable and just perfect for us. Greg, who runs the Inn, was absolutely the nicest person who went out of his way to make us comfortable. We will definitely return to this wonderful lodging and highly recommend it to anyone who visits the Gettysburg area as the place to stay.

We stayed in the Annie Danner room on the top floor which was lovely. The character of the room, exposed beams, lighting, etc are beautiful. Only 3 informational comments. The square which the room fces is really noisy as 18 wheelers and motorcycles go through the square 24/7. My husband is a light sleeper so was a bit bothered. Second if you are taller than 6'2" or so, the exposed beams may be hazardous. My husband is just under 6' and felt a bit claustrophobic. Lastly, due to the age of the building, if you require a separate room for the shower you may want to pick another room. Obviously the plumbing had to be added so the shower is a standalone with a privacy screen, but no door. We can't say enough about the friendly staff and lovely property. We would probably have investigated the townhouses as I think they are farther from the square.

We chose the Inn at Lincoln Square for our weekend based on the uniformly positive reviews we read online. I must say, those reviews were accurate in every way. Our first-floor suite (the Mary Juliet Danner suite) was comfortable, spacious, beautifully furnished, and perfectly located. We overlooked Lincoln Square and could easily step outside to stroll the streets of downtown Gettysburg to explore the shops and historic houses, and the battlefield was a short drive away.

Greg met us when we arrived and had many helpful suggestions for things to see and do and places to eat. His recommendation for our anniversary dinner was perfect. It's obvious that he loves the town and the inn, and he was able to share his enthusiasm. His excellent tips for touring the battlefield (such as starting at the Visitors' Center and purchasing an auto guide CD) made our day very meaningful.

We highly recommend this lovely, friendly inn.

We were so impressed by our stay here. Not only is it literally in Lincoln square next to the Wills House, but it is lovely. Greg, the owner, is proud of the Inn, and it's roots as the Danner home dating back to the 1820s. He provides his guests with the best local info and tips, as well as being about the nicest person ever. So is the staff. If you want to stay in an authentic "it was there then" place at Gettysburg... I could not recommend better.-RB
