“Loved the whole experience”
Reviewed October 25, 2013 via mobile

We had a tin type portrait done today and it turned out beautifully. We did this to commemorate mine and my husband's one year wedding anniversary and it was such a great way to do it. Thank you to the owner for an informative, warm and friendly environment!

“Lasting memory!”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

The Victorian Photography Studio was just across the street from where we were staying at the Gettystown Inn, so we walked in on a whim. Sine they were between appointments, we were able to get in right away. It was great fun deciding who we wanted to be -- a Union officer and his lady -- and even more fun dressing up! I think we paid about $39 for an 8x10 and 2 5x7s. The photos were ready in about 30 minutes. (We chose to do some sightseeing and come back to pick them up.) The photo has been a big hit with friends and family! It is definitely a special memory of a wonderful fall trip. I would really like to do this again and maybe try the "wet plate" technique.

“One of the best things we did in Gettysburg”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

We had the best experience at the studio. We chose the "wet plate" technique and it is well worth the money. We spent a whole hour with Tish, who showed us how old photos were made....we dressed up as a union officer and his wife (ready for the ball!) it was really so much fun and much more than just a photo. My husband was iffy on going and he can't stop talking about it. The photo came out great and looks so authentic. I highly recommend.

“Lots of fun and great staff”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

We enjoyed our sitting and the photo package at a very good price. You can't beat this place so simply do it, it was a blast and we have great photos to remember all of it, thank you! The staff (the owners I believe) were awesome and very patient. They seemed to enjoy the great time we were having.

From the people with the hats from the Boston Area: The framed photo looks awesome opposite General and Libby Custer, thank you! We plan on coming back next year and will visit you again and do something different, see you then!

“Professional and fun!”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

At the spur of the moment we popped into this charming business to see if they had any appointments open. Turns out they had a cancellation and they were able to accommodate us. What fun! The owner picked out the perfect dress for me to wear - felt instantly like Scarlett O'Hara ( in spite of being a Northerner!) My husband looked so great as a Union Soldier. they have all the small details you need to pull off a fabulous picture that one would swear was taken 150 years ago! We went for the digital print of the picture on a CD - which they put one in color and one in Sepia. Highly recommend going here - but make an appointment so you won't be disappointed!
