The movie, narrated by Morgan Freeman, and the Cylorama are amazing!! The museum has many interesting exhibits that are laid out in chronological order, from before the battle to during and after, including how the soldiers lived and the effects on the townspeople. It was kind of like a maze so I wasn't sure if I got to see everything.

This is a great place to visit, and you don't want to miss the cyclorama as it is just an amazing depiction of what those 3 days entailed in history.

“History Comes Alive”

We had an afternoon and one day to visit the park and museum. The first afternoon we saw the Cyclorama and museum at the Visitor's Center. Incredible. We ran out of steam well before we saw everything in the museum. The second day we arrived at 8:00 a.m. to get a guide who rides in your car and takes you to all the battleground sites of the three day battle. He was entertaining and educating. We were in and out of the car looking at things, so the three hours sped by. You have the choice of two or three hours. In three hours, the guide can take you to all the important stops. I didn't know that you can reserve a guide three days ahead and then don't have to be there at 8:00 a.m.! But the day was easily filled. We learned so much and enjoyed it very much. The pizza at the Visitor's Center was some of the best I have ever had!
