My family visited Gettysburg for the first time and went to the Visitor Center as our first stop. The 20 minute movie and Cyclorama was awesome! We spent a lot of time in the Museum looking at all of the artifacts! We also went on a tour of the battlefield with our own guide. This was the most wonderful experience! I recommend a visit to the Center as well as the guided tour. Everyone in the family had a wonderful time. Take advantage of the free Ranger programs!

We enjoyed the museum and cyclorama, but the highlight was the guided tour with our guide, Anthony. He was so knowledgeable and encouraged our questions. He made the 2 hour battlefield tour in our car one of the best historical tours we have ever taken.

If you visit this you've got to see the Cyclorama (spl?). It is just awesome. It's a painting of the battle done in the round and modern effects.

Great place to start any visit to the battlefield. You can purchase tickets to the Cyclorama, museum and guided bus tours there. Food is a bit expensive in their food court.
