“Can't wait to visit again!”
Reviewed October 27, 2012 via mobile

We were thrilled to find so many options of ways to learn about the battle at Gettysburg. Private tours, bus tours, 4 choices of audio tours (we bought the most expensive one and it was worth every penny! Wonderfully done!), museum, cyclorama, movie... Also tours to Eisenhower house and Wills house. Free bus/trolley pick up right outside takes you all over town. Wonderfully large gift shop. Everyone we encountered was helpful and passionate about what they were doing. People may think it is expensive, but it is well worth the money. Only down side was food options in center were expensive.

“New facility”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

Since our last visit to Gettysburg, the visitor center has been relocated to a new faciity. It was nice having the museum (which is excellent) on the main floor of the building. The theater and cyclorama were very user-friendly.

“Nice place”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

Has a good spot to buy memorbilia. Interesting to walk around the free parts of the place. We did our own tour with the map telling us a little about each place. It was a nice place.

“Don't miss it!”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

Be sure to set aside at least two days for your visit and tour of the battlefields. Take one of the guided tours ... either on CD in your car (several variations are available online, or is the bookstore), by group bus or better by hiring a guide who will drive your car and spend a lot of time with you and the folks in your car.

“VERY moving”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

Aside from the high price, we were moved by the presentation. Try not to miss it. The private sector company did an excellent job in a well timed show. The graphic depiction of Pickett's Charge, painted in 1883, was vivid. If you know the story you will be shocked by the carnage shown on the canvas.
