Where else can you see so many amazing historical items for free? If its Civil War, WW2, JFK, or Elvis you'll find it here. The fact that it is all free to see puts it tops in my book.

This collection is outstanding. A must see if you are visiting Gettysburg. It is run by an incredibly friendly man and was very welcoming. Full of history from Gettysburg to European circa WWII. Truly enchanting.

It was free; spent around an hour looking around; It is small; I doubt that wheelchairs would get thru. This is in a small, old house, on the Baltimore St. Donations asked for. A fun find.

This place is well worth a stop. The collection is interesting and diverse, including not only Gettysburg/Civil War artifacts, but also, inter alia, World Wars, JFK and Elvis. The place is clean, the artifacts are well marked and clearly explained. Its also FREE, the proprietor accepting donations to help keep it free of charge. Invest the hour or so it takes to go through it. You'll be glad you did.

This place is nestled between the row houses a few blocks up from the circle. DO NOT confuse it with the other museum listings. It is subtly located without alot of fanfare in front of it. It is jammed with incredible artifacts and relics of not only the Civil War and Gettysburg Battles, but also fascinating articles and commemoratives from George Washington to WWII to both Lincoln and John F Kennedy and their assassinations. They even have some Elvis stuff, including his touring grooming kit and medications (eesh, he was on alot of pills, man oh man) On that line, I was amazed they have the original prescription of the sedative Parnate that allegedly Marilyn Monroe gobbled up on her suicide death -- plus doodles and notes by JFK and Bobby Kennedy. There are many items for sale as well. What is great about it is that it focuses on many small detailed items you won't see in other standard museums on the Civil War and Gettysburg and other presidential/historical events. You can buy bullets (of which there are thousands) and other things here cheaper than at the other tourist shops in town. They accept donations.
