Description: Gettysburg's only Irish-owned and operated pub offers a genuine taste of Ireland through "Ceol, cainte agus craic" Music, talk & fun. Open 7 days for lunch & dinner, The Garryowen, or "The GO" as it's know to our regulars, is as inviting as any pub found back in the old country with friendly service, a large selection of Irish whiskies, the best of Ireland's draft beers, and the perfect pour of Guinness which is complimented with a carefully picked selection of international and domestic premium beers, wines and spirits. Our kitchen prepares the most authentic Irish fare in the area from the owners' family recipes, with many ingredients imported directly from Ireland. Paired with traditional pub fare, made in house daily from scratch with local ingredients where possible. Our menu is sure to satisfy the most discerning of tastes. Enjoy your meal in our cozy dining room, by the fireplace or at the bar.The first and third Sundays of each month are a special treat for lovers of Irish music, with a traditional 'Seisun' from 2 til 5pm. Reservations are highly recommended.

“Good Irish Food”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

Had to wait 30 min for a table but enjoyed the wait in the upstairs bar area. Waiter was very good and very knowledgeable about the authentic Irish food. Food was very good but Entree portion was not overly large but quality was very good.

“A touch of Irish”
Reviewed June 1, 2014 via mobile

Great Irish pub in the heart of historic Gettysburg. We had the Shepard's Pie, Bangers and Mash, and Irish Breakfast bite samples with the food tour. They were a great taste of traditional Irish fare and will sure to be back. Definitely recommend reservations as they fill up fast.

Good pub food. The fish and chips are the best around. Kudos for the Guinness stew and also the Shepard's pie.

Great drinks, and good food. Highly recommended for Irish / pub fare. The service was great and it is located close to the town center.

“Good Food, Scary Bathroom”
Reviewed May 29, 2014

This was our second time visiting this pub. We love the food and the "old world charm" of the place. My husband got the Guinness Stew and said it was delicious as usual. I snuck a taste and I agree! Service was great and everything was served in a timely manner.

The bathroom was another story. The ladies room looked like it had not been touched since the building was built. Broken tiles on the floor and a scary sink. The toilet rocked back and forth when you sat on it and like someone else said it was spongy around the floor. I hope they address that soon before somebody falls through!
