Description: Gettysburg's only Irish-owned and operated pub offers a genuine taste of Ireland through "Ceol, cainte agus craic" Music, talk & fun. Open 7 days for lunch & dinner, The Garryowen, or "The GO" as it's know to our regulars, is as inviting as any pub found back in the old country with friendly service, a large selection of Irish whiskies, the best of Ireland's draft beers, and the perfect pour of Guinness which is complimented with a carefully picked selection of international and domestic premium beers, wines and spirits. Our kitchen prepares the most authentic Irish fare in the area from the owners' family recipes, with many ingredients imported directly from Ireland. Paired with traditional pub fare, made in house daily from scratch with local ingredients where possible. Our menu is sure to satisfy the most discerning of tastes. Enjoy your meal in our cozy dining room, by the fireplace or at the bar.The first and third Sundays of each month are a special treat for lovers of Irish music, with a traditional 'Seisun' from 2 til 5pm. Reservations are highly recommended.

“Fun, Good Food, & Excellent Server”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

We experienced our first time at the Garryowen and it will not be our last! From the moment we walked in the door the service was excellent. This pub is not only friendly and has plenty of drink choices to choose with imports from Ireland but the food is good too! Our server was very helpful and knowledgable with the menu choices so we took him up on the recommendations which were tasty. We would highly recommend this establishment!

“Authentic, Warm and Friendly”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

Spent a few days in Gettysburg doing the tourism thing and stopped in twice at the pub. For one, love Irish Stout and they have many on tap to include Murphys with the proper knowledge to pour! The food is outstanding and varies to traditional fare along with fantastic daily items. A definite must stop. the place is warm, friendly and inviting, don't feel intimidated to walk in and see a long bar as the entire service staff is outstanding.

“Traditional Irish Food with a Twist”
Reviewed December 22, 2013

Had dinner here on a busy Friday night and were pleasantly surprised. Many traditional Irish dishes and some different items on the menu also. My husband had bangers and mash which came in a "stacked" presentation. I had shrimp in a whiskey cream sauce on crostini. Both dishes were carefully prepared and presented. Service with attentive but not intrusive.

“Great Irish Bar in Gettysburg!”
Reviewed December 16, 2013

This is a great Irish bar in town. We were hoping for some live music but we just didn't hit it at the right time. The scallops were beyond amazing, the fish and chips was good but not exceptional. All in all, we had a fantastic meal in a great atmosphere.

“Good Irish Food”
Reviewed December 14, 2013

We try to find Irish restaurants when we travel. Garryowen has a good selection of Irish dishes, my husband had shepherd's pie and I had the Guiness beef stew both were very good. The others in our group were also pleased with their meals. My only quibble would be that we'd made reservations, but we were seated at the only table right by the bar rather than in the dining room so it made conversation more difficult.
