Open 7 days for lunch & dinner, The Garryowen, or "The GO" as it's know to our regulars, is as inviting as any pub found back in the old country with friendly service, a large selection of Irish whiskies, the best of Ireland's draft beers, and the perfect pour of Guinness which is complimented with a carefully picked selection of international and domestic premium beers, wines and spirits. Our kitchen prepares the most authentic Irish fare in the area from the owners' family recipes, with many ingredients imported directly from Ireland. Paired with traditional pub fare, made in house daily from scratch with local ingredients where possible. Our menu is sure to satisfy the most discerning of tastes. Enjoy your meal in our cozy dining room, by the fireplace or at the bar.The first and third Sundays of each month are a special treat for lovers of Irish music, with a traditional 'Seisun' from 2 til 5pm. Reservations are highly recommended.

“Our best meal in Gettysburg”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

The Garryowen is a small Pub just a block from the town square. It has the feel of an Irish pub, with dark woodwork and a friendly bar, where we had beers while waiting for a table to open. Excellent beer, ale, cider selection. At dinner, I had the Shepard's Pie and my daughter had fish and chips. My dish excellent, with lots of fresh vegetables and ground beef, not at all like the school cafeteria dish of my youth! The fish and chips were also excellent. Service was prompt but didn't push rush you out. The entire menu was good. Wish we had returned here during our visit.

The pub was so quaint and cozy that we went back twice! The food was alright, the cider and beer selection was really great- a lot of local beers.

“Excellent Lunch”
Reviewed August 15, 2013 via mobile

We arrived early for Lunch at the Garryowen, @ 11:15. It opens at 11:00 am and we were the only patrons. We were greeted and seated by Laura who was both friendly, welcoming and professional. She gave us our menus and reviewed the day's specials with some personal recommendations. The Crab & Red Pepper & the Chicken Corn Chowder with Bacon soups were both fantastic. Our main courses were just as good, BLT with Irish Bacon, Wee Bit of Fish & Chips, the Scotch Egg and Oyster Sandwich. As we enjoyed our meals the Garryowen began to fill up with a mix of tourist and local crowd. Laura served as both bar tender and server and again had her system down pat. Everyone was greeted cheerfully and efficiently, orders were taken and served in a timely manner. It was a great lunch. Our only regret was we didn't return that evening for a taste of the Irish Soda Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce! To the staff of the Garryowen, Well Done, Thank You.

“Absolutely delicious”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

Stuck into a small space in the middle of a block I would have missed this gem without the recommendation of several people in town. The scotch eggs & lamb burger were wonderful and the Irish pear cider refreshing!
