Description: Gettysburg's only Irish-owned and operated pub offers a genuine taste of Ireland through "Ceol, cainte agus craic" Music, talk & fun. Open 7 days for lunch & dinner, The Garryowen, or "The GO" as it's know to our regulars, is as inviting as any pub found back in the old country with friendly service, a large selection of Irish whiskies, the best of Ireland's draft beers, and the perfect pour of Guinness which is complimented with a carefully picked selection of international and domestic premium beers, wines and spirits. Our kitchen prepares the most authentic Irish fare in the area from the owners' family recipes, with many ingredients imported directly from Ireland. Paired with traditional pub fare, made in house daily from scratch with local ingredients where possible. Our menu is sure to satisfy the most discerning of tastes. Enjoy your meal in our cozy dining room, by the fireplace or at the bar.The first and third Sundays of each month are a special treat for lovers of Irish music, with a traditional 'Seisun' from 2 til 5pm. Reservations are highly recommended.

“Service? What service.....”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

We were looking for a place to grab some quick and easy finger food and decided to stop at Garryowen's Pub. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks while looking over the menu. The menu had some wonderful items on it and our taste buds were starting to water. We were ready to place our order, but our Bartender/Server was more interested in chatting and carrying on with her co-workers. We never had the opportunity to order another drink let alone food and the dinner crowd had not yet arrived. We paid our bill and left. Maybe another day we will retry this Pub.

“Great Pub”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

We only spent one night in Gettysburg this trip, but we ending up eating at the Garryowen three times!!! Great beer and whiskey selections (we always love Guinness, but their Stubborn Irish Prig is particularly good) and outstanding food! We were excited that they actually have the authentic Irish soda bread---just like we had during our trip to Ireland and it was delicious! Their crab & red pepper bisque is a must! My husband loved the Guinness beef stew and I had their steamed mussels which had to be the BEST mussels I've had since Ireland! We invited friends to join us during our final meal there and they loved everything as well. I tried their Salmon Roulade Salad, gave everyone a taste and we all love that, too (I probably won't share next time)! We will definitely be back! Great service as well, and always greeted with a smile! If you like great beer, great food, great service and atmosphere, you have to give Garryowen a whirl!
