Open 7 days for lunch & dinner, The Garryowen, or "The GO" as it's know to our regulars, is as inviting as any pub found back in the old country with friendly service, a large selection of Irish whiskies, the best of Ireland's draft beers, and the perfect pour of Guinness which is complimented with a carefully picked selection of international and domestic premium beers, wines and spirits. Our kitchen prepares the most authentic Irish fare in the area from the owners' family recipes, with many ingredients imported directly from Ireland. Paired with traditional pub fare, made in house daily from scratch with local ingredients where possible. Our menu is sure to satisfy the most discerning of tastes. Enjoy your meal in our cozy dining room, by the fireplace or at the bar.The first and third Sundays of each month are a special treat for lovers of Irish music, with a traditional 'Seisun' from 2 til 5pm. Reservations are highly recommended.

Small pub right off the tourist trail in Gettysburg, PA; where the locals eat! The Irish food is super tasty and the soups are delicious, especially the Crab and red pepper. Portions are not too big and not too small, but just right. Wash the food down with one of the beers from the extensive beer menu and a great meal is guaranteed. Friday and Saturday is music upstairs.

Living in Gettysburg, born and raised in Ireland I go here when I want a taste of home. The Ulster grill includes real Irish sausage and bacon. The service is good and the price is moderate.

We arrived at around 7pm to only one other couple waiting and many open tables. To our dismay, we were told it would be a 30 minute wait...and a 30+ minute wait it was. Despite the vacant tables...they made us wait standing in the bar area as there were no seats at the bar. Once we were seated things got better the and door was fantastic. We all had bangers and mash, sheapard pie and fish and chips and all were very good. The salad dressings were also home made which was also a nice touch.

We arrived late in town and found the hotel restaurant to be wanting so attempted to find something in town. We walked down Chambersburg Street and came across this original atmosphere Irish Pub. There are plenty of great Irish lagers, stouts and ciders on tap or in a bottle as well as a wide selection of fine Irish whiskeys, of course non Irish brews as well as a full bar for those non Irish beverages are available too. Then there is a great Irish menu. Get there early for the Irish onion soup! The Shepard's pie is wonderful and try the Scotch egg or the Irish Nachos. Everyone had a fun-lovin' Irish attitude. Wish we had been here on a weekend when there is entertainment since is was great on a Sunday night!
