I spent four frustrating days trying to get a consistent internet signal from their WI-FI. Since they have a lot of groups (a college baseball team and a group of young Army recruits were staying at the hotel when I was there), there's a constant demand for internet and they haven't been able to figure out how to serve everybody. It was as bad as early dial-up and kept knocking me off the system, in the middle of some important work transmissions. That said, their on-duty manager actually came to my room after I'd called downstairs and retrieved an Ethernet cable (she apologized and was very friendly but it never got that much better). All of their front desk employees were top-notch - friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pretty standard fare for a Comfort Suites, but they actually put out a third waffle iron on the weekends to accomodate the demand. Even with a college baseball team, they still had enough food! Everything was plentiful and adequate. The rooms are clean but I think it's misleading to call my room a suite. It had a tiny love seat and coffee table and the tv stand doubled as a cabinet that held a refrigerator and microwave but it was basically a fairly large room like you'd have in a Red Roof or similar hotel. The location is great for groups - a giant parking lot for the bus (free parking for everyone!) - a restaurant/bar right next door, and it's walking distance to some battlefield sites and the cemetery and just up the road from the visitor center. It's a bit too far to walk into downtown, which will be drawback to some travelers. The hotel is more than willing to work with large groups and I imagine this is where all the bus tour people stay. So it's not the Four Seasons, but it was clean and very friendly and I'd probably stay here again - especially if I were able to get a good deal.
