To gain perspective we wanted to do a tour right away in order to hone in on what we wanted to explore further on our own. The Battlefield bus Tour is the way to go.

Took the double-decker bus tour, sat on top and truly felt like we got a accurate history lesson of the three days of the Battle of Gettysburg. Tour guide was excellent, ticket staff was friendly and very accommodating, we even got a lot of time to walk around Little Round Top.

Was amazed by the tour that showed the battlefields and the explanation of what happened along the way. Saw more monuments on this 2 1/2 hour tour than I have ever seen in my life time (71 years). This tour is where I opted for 3 other tours at a reduced price one being the Diorama After this bus tour then going to the Diorama it all became more clear of the movement of the forces during the 3 days of the battle.

Being a Canadian I was very interested in seeing the battlefield and descriptions of the 3 days of of this significant battle of the Civil War. This is a wonderful way with a certified guide who knows all the details and can answer questions about the various locations. The conflict really comes to life when you can stand on the actual locations and visualize what actually happened. The cannons, the monuments and descriptive plaques all add to the experience. They are very well organized. It was nearly 100 degrees the day we were there and we were glad to take the air-conditioned bus. There is a double decker bus with an open upper deck and no guide, just a recorded tour description. Take the tour with the guide, they are very knowledgeable. A must do in Gettysburg. Could have easily been a longer tour.

The bus tour was the smartest thing we did visiting the park. The tour guides are very informed on all details on war and offer an insight to the war that are interesting for kids and adults alike. It also helps as you get to avoid a lot of walking and really helps when you do not know much to anything about the war.
