“Pretty good French cuisine in Gettysburg.”
Reviewed August 13, 2014

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend and I was not disappointed with the recommendation. It was very affordable and had a menu that my wife and I found diverse and enticing. I ordered the Croque Monsieur and it was really good. Decent option for a night out in Gettysburg.

“Not the best place for dinner!”
Reviewed August 12, 2014 via mobile

We arrived in Gettysburg late on a Saturday night. Restaurants were busy but we were able to get a table at the Saint Amand. The restaurant does not have a liquor license so it is BYOB (which is odd because on their menu they talk about the Saint Armand being the Patron Saint of Vintnors). Being from out of town, we didn't know their policy however they did have a complimentary glass of wine available if you purchased an entree. Our entrees were both over cooked and dry - the pork tenderloin and the chicken cordon bleu. The restaurant is open only a few evenings for dinner, which would suggest that they are not committed to the dinner trade. I understand they are a much better location for breakfast but did not try them for that meal so I will not comment.

“Sunday Brunch Delish!”
Reviewed August 12, 2014 via mobile

On Sunday morning we decided to take a motorcycle ride with our son who'd just bought his first bike. We thought a brunch in Gettysburg would be just perfect. We found a great review for CSA and then after checking the menu it was a 100% buy-in.
When we arrived we gave our name and had a short 15 minute wait, enough time to window shop.
The restaurant was very clean, quaint and their menu was extensive. Our waitress was polite and very efficient. We ordered an Apple Strudel to share and to stave off starvation and a short wait later plates of steaming goodness was served. The guys ordered the French Country Breakfast and I had the French Toast.
We are making plans to go back for lunch....and another breakfast.... and lunch...etc.
When in Gettysburg, don't miss a meal at the Cafe!!

“Great food but unacceptable wait”
Reviewed August 11, 2014 via mobile

It was Sunday AM and so we accepted a wait to be seated. Once seated, we ordered our food. Coffee was served. Then it took another half hour to get our food. We waited and waited and waited. Other people that came in after us were served before us. The food was delicious, but the service was totally unacceptable.
