My husband and I made a last minute decision for a getaway weekend in Gettysburg and we were lucky to stumble across The Gaslight Inn when searching online. Becky and Mike are gracious and welcoming hosts and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious!
We stayed in the Garden Room which is on the first floor with a private entrance to a lovely landscaped patio. It was very clean and cozy and offers prime access to the homemade cookies! There are several places around the house and grounds to relax and read some interesting books on the area. My favorite thing to do however was to play with the owners little dogs. They are friendly and quite entertaining, and gave me the "fix" I needed when I was missing my own furbabies.
The location of the Gaslight is absolutely perfect. We didn't move our car all weekend, walking to great restaurants, stores, tours and things to do. We even walked to a tour company that offers segway tours of the battlefield which we enjoyed quite a bit.
I loved our stay at the Gaslight Inn and Mike and Becky made us feel like we were visiting family. I'm looking forward to staying there again!
