My husband and I made a last minute decision for a getaway weekend in Gettysburg and we were lucky to stumble across The Gaslight Inn when searching online. Becky and Mike are gracious and welcoming hosts and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious!

We stayed in the Garden Room which is on the first floor with a private entrance to a lovely landscaped patio. It was very clean and cozy and offers prime access to the homemade cookies! There are several places around the house and grounds to relax and read some interesting books on the area. My favorite thing to do however was to play with the owners little dogs. They are friendly and quite entertaining, and gave me the "fix" I needed when I was missing my own furbabies.

The location of the Gaslight is absolutely perfect. We didn't move our car all weekend, walking to great restaurants, stores, tours and things to do. We even walked to a tour company that offers segway tours of the battlefield which we enjoyed quite a bit.

I loved our stay at the Gaslight Inn and Mike and Becky made us feel like we were visiting family. I'm looking forward to staying there again!

Room Tip: The Garden Room is perfect for travelers who require wheelchair accessability or anyone who prefers...

The Gaslight Inn is a very pleasant place to stay. I stayed there 3 nights while on a business trip. The location is absolutely wonderful. It's within walking distance to several restaurants, shops and ghost tours. Battlefield visitor center is just a few minutes drive away. The B&B was very clean and had a offered a very nice breakfast. My room was the June Rose on the 3rd floor which had a steam shower and very comfortable bed. I found the Gaslight to be very relaxing and the Inn Keeper's dogs to be very cute and welcoming. One evening enjoyed sitting on their front porch while sipping hot tea after dinner. There are also several additional seating areas within the Inn. A nice touch was a certified battle field guide came and spoke with the guests in the livingroom before breakfast. They also had a "Union Soldier" come one morning to talk with the guests about life of a commen soldier. These 2 speakers were quite interesting!
I would stay here again!

Homemade cookies were AMAZING!!!!!

This property is so close to all downtown areas for easy walks to many restaurants and activities. Our goal was to find a great place to stay for our 25th wedding anniversary, to relax, enjoy our time and not to have to drive to everything, mission accomplished. The B&B was awesome, from the owners, other guest, food, cleanliness and price. I can go on and on, but this was truly a great experience we will repeat.

Room Tip: We had the garden room and totally enjoyed having the only bedroom on the main floor with our own pr...

We stayed for 3 nights at the Gaslight Inn and feel it is the best B&B we've ever stayed at. Our room (The Aster) was spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean. We loved sitting out on the balcony overlooking the gardens after a busy day sightseeing. The location was perfect, with Middle Street being very quiet yet easy walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and historic exhibits. The Inn arranged a personal tour of the battlefield for us with Stuart Dempsey, a licensed battlefield guide, and it was a wonderful experience. We also enjoyed chatting with Mick Chambers one morning prior to breakfast and learning about the life of the common solider during the Civil War. We would definitely stay here again when we next visit the area. Thank you Becky, Mike and Elizabeth for a lovely vacation.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 2nd or 3rd floors at the back of the house overlook the beautiful gardens.

My husband and I had a one night stay at the Gaslight Inn and we were thrilled with the beautiful room, stunning common areas, exquisite breakfast and amazing hospitality. We had a bit of a family emergency and one of the innkeepers, Becky, so kindly assisted us in getting important local information. Without a doubt we will be back to this wonderful B&B!
