This place will lift your spirits and warm your heart. From the moment you step through the gift shop where you pay out into the farm itself, you will feel like you stepped into another world. A happier world. A simpler world. A more wholesome world. A world where a child will squeal with excitement and the adult can be a child again.
This is the second time we have made the two hour trip from the Lehigh Valley with our now 2.5 year old daughter. This place is impeccably kept and run. Little horses roam free and are also in pens. You can buy a generous sized mug of food for $5 and feed them to your heart's content. You can also feed and pet many other farm animals such as goats, pigs, llamas, sheep, etc.
The arena show is charming and well done and that alone is worth the price of admission.
The staff are energetic and genuinely interested in what they do. I noticed throughout our visit today that they all communicate via walkie talkies and were immediately on top of things to be addressed. An example was that I heard the owner's walkie talkie go off and a staff member informed her that the soda machine was not working. The owner informed the young woman to refund the customer and I liked how they addressed this immediately.
Even the music is peaceful and wholesome.
If you are someone who can not take joy in the wonder of God's creatures and their relationship with humans, then you won't feel the utter sheer happiness I do at this place. If you constantly need electronic stimulation and frenetic paced "entertainment" then you might be one to give a negative review.
But, if you have any modicum of a soul, heart and a brain, I guarantee you will be enchanted and your kids will too.
Love this place and plan to keep it a tradition in our daughter's life to create a childhood of fond memories. A real class act.
