This is a good site for getting a little insight to Ike's personality. The human side of great people is often missed. My favorite bit of trivia is a presidential plate purchased at a tourist shack by Maime. I could just picture them laughing at it. Also loved the pictures of Ike grilling, fishing, and golfing. He met many world leaders here and it is fun to think you are walking in their footsteps. Although I not sure the Indian Prime Minister would have appreciated a beef cattle farm! We caught a presentation on the infantry equipment of D-Day, that was the highlight for my boy. Nice add on if you are through with the Gettysburg Battlefield.

I visited this home about 27 years ago but learned so much more on this visit than I remembered. This was the President and Mamie's only home. It is pretty simple and comfortable looking. Many foreign dignitaries visited during and after the presidential years. Ike became a prize winning shower of angus cattle when he finally retired from the public. it is still a working farm. Along with a tour of the home I walked around the property with an audio tour on my phone and attended ranger talks on General Eisenhower and D Day, soldiers preparing for D day, and the Secret Service. there is a short film and small gift shop. A bus takes visitors to the home from the visitor center of the Gettysburg National Military Park , where you buy tickets, and returns when you are finished.( I was there 4 hours but usual visits are about 1-2 hours)

This is a great place to look back at our history and the times of a unique President. See the putting green and Guest House. The Rangers are very informative and provide wonderful tours. The rest of the farm is great also

This is a lovely farm where Mamie and Dwight retired. Lovely home and you can wander on your own after an introduction by a tour guide. Easy access with the bus from the visitor's center.

Lets you in the life of one of our country's greatest president. The formal room of all the gifts they received is museum quality while the balance of the house feels homey and comfy.
