The place is basically a motel that's got a new coat of paint and a new carpet. The rooms smell a little funky but you get used to it after awhile. The breakfast area is fine (bagels, waffles). There was no orange juice left when we went down to eat, and the FOX News blasting throughout the breakfast area. The fitness center has some machines but they're hard to figure out and the room is tiny. Basically, it seems that the place did the minimum to become a Best Western affiliate. If you have to stay here, I'd say it's fine. But I might check out some alternatives first.

I got stuck in Newark when they canceled all flights because of weather in the area. Immediately, all hotels were booked full and I was barely able to get a room at this hotel through Expedia. Having never heard of the place, I braced myself for the worst. However, I was very pleasantly surprised when we arrived after a 7 mile / 20minute drive taxi drive from the airport. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are fairly large, clear with decent attention to detail, and the breakfast was more than adequate. This is not a 5 star hotel, but for the type of hotel class it does a very nice job and i would not hesitate to stay here again.

This is an old-style but renovated two-floor motel...dated but clean and a good value. My kingsize room was large, with a very comfortable bed, comfy chairs, roomy desk, and a large TV. The bathroom was basic, with soap, shampoo and lotion. Appreciated the nightlight. Everything in the room worked. There is a small fitness center where I used the treadmill and TV, but couldn't get the other equipment to function. There were complimentary fresh towels and bottled water there as well. The inn provides a complimentary 'continental' buffet breakfast which was surprisingly good and varied (muffins, toast, waffles, cold cereals, hard-cooked eggs, juices, etc.), and the food area was spotless and well-stocked with an alert attendant constantly on the scene. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Only a couple of downsides: there is no elevator (though they did offer to help take luggage to the second floor), and my in-room safe was located on a high shelf in the closet, totally inaccessible as the closet doors do not open fully. All said, I will definitely return whenever I'm in the area on business.

On March 9, 2008 my sweetie and I stayed at the Best Western Turtle Brook Inn. We had a very nice and comfortable stay. The room had everything we could need, including a DVD player.

What was really nice about our stay, is that we enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning. And the woman who handles the breakfast each morning made us fresh waffles as we waited.

Also, my sweetie told me that the coffee was some of the best she had ever tasted, and I enjoyed the orange juice too.

The staff at the front counter was very helpful and courteous, and even gave us an extra discount when we asked for it, as we were staying there to visit a relative in the nearby hospital. Furthermore, we were greeted with fresh chocolate chip cookies at check in!!!

We would definitely stay at the Best Western Turtle Brook Inn again.
