“Nice hotel with gracious staff”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

I stayed here recently and really liked this hotel. It is a lovely oasis that puts you close enough to everything you want to see and do without the crowds. I had a corner room with a view of the river looking towards Camden. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a log. The bathroom was well-appointed with great hair care and skin products. Staff could not have been more helpful in identifying points of interest nearby. I didn't have a chance to use the amenities as I was at the hotel on business, but I was struck by how clean everything was.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a water view.

Beautiful view. Incredible location. On the Philly side you have the Old Town area with all those great restaurants. You're right at the ferry for the concerts in Camden. Hotel is clean & comfortable. Staff was great. Nice bar & restaurant. Definitely will be returning

This hotel has one thing going for it, the location. If you like being near water, either the ocean or a river, this is the place for you. Stunning views of the Delaware river and all the odd activities Philly folks engage in, weddings, walking, swan boat rides, sailing, etc. Great for people watching. The people that work at the hotel are very friendly, from the valet attendants to the staff in the lounge. The facilities are so-so, but the staff and view make up for it.

One of my favorite Hyatt properties. Conveniently located to major attractions, this hotel has great city views but at a lower rate than many hotels closer to the center of the city. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

The Hyatt Regency at Penns Landing is a wonderful hotel, smaller and more intimate and a real flavor of Philadelphia. Great location on Penns Landing, you can walk to South Street, Center City and all the historic sights. The hotel has a nice offering of local favorite eats in Keatings Restaurant and Bar. Nicely run hotel, nice modern rooms and some with view of the river and city. Staff throughout hotel are service oriented and friendly. Great find in a big city.

Room Tip: Try and get a river view room

Not our first choice, but rooms were hard to find because of the golf tournament. We were concerned that the location was too far away from the historic district, but we were just a couple of blocks from it. You just have to be sure to cross Columbus Blvd at Spruce Street, directly across the street from the hotel, to connect to Front Street (the first of the sequentially numbered streets). Even when a horrendous thunderstorm forced us to stay in one morning, we enjoyed watching the lightning display along the Delaware River! The river runs in back of the hotel and provides great views of historic ships and the restored historic waterfront. The brick walkways are great for a long walk or run, and fireworks and concerts are a short walk (but not so close as to be a nuisance). The maritime museum is just out back and was recommended to us, but we didn't have time to visit. The staff was friendly and helpful--great suggestions from the registry staff for favorite newer restaurants. Check with Groupon or Yelp!, though, before booking anything with the concierge!

Room Tip: As for a room with a view of the Delaware River. You won't be disappointed! (We were on the 9t...

Not exactly in the heart of town but a lovely hotel in a great location on the river when in Philly. Was attending a conference and was only a 10 minute cab ride to the convention centre. Away from the bustle of town. Lovely rooms, great in-house dining and beautiful views.
