We stayed at this hotel, through a promotion offering a great rate through the local rowing race this past weekend.

This hotel is right off/on highway 76; free parking (always nice in Philly) next to Target, TGI Friday, banks, St. Joe's college, and much more. To our surprise it was just up the road from the race site and near some interesting local restaurants. (must try for our next visit). You can also get to downtown Philly WITHOUT having to get on 76 (a huge plus) in about 5-8 minutes.

The hotel was big-8 floors, nice-modern deco, clean and a must go to again. I decided at 3 pm I wanted to add another room & they booked it for me on the phone. When we arrived at the hotel, they did not have the additional reservation,(computer error) but quickly got us another room and at the same rate as the initial booking. The hotel was just about full due to the rowing event, wedding and church function.

In the lobby was fresh water with strawberries or water with cucumber. It was a nice and tasty surprise. You could view some of the pool/hot tub area from the lobby, which also had a large sitting area. There was also an on-site restaurant/bar and fitness room.

The rooms were huge. King bed,(very comfy and with lots of pillows) flat screen TV and on the bed they give you a pretty red bag with a sleeping mask, lavender spray and ear plugs. The bathroom was also very big. The room had a microwave and fridge.

The staff (all positions) were very helpful and everyone was very polite, especially given the amount of people they had to check in the rooms that had to be cleaned.

I am so pleased with this hidden gem. I usually like to stay downtown to avoid having to find parking, but this hotel is well worth it. They also have a courtesy drop off van within 3 miles, so next time I may take them up on this and just take a taxi back to the hotel!

Keep up the good work! And keep the strawberry water plentiful.

You can definitely tell that this used to be a Holiday Inn. Not quite the quality that you expect for a Crowne Plaza. The rooms just feel old for some reason.

Hotel is located directly on the 44 bus lane to central Philadelphia. If you plan a visit in advance, go online to SEPTA and purchase one-day independence passes ($10 single or $25 family) for unlimited riding of bus, train & Philly Phlash sightseeing bus for one day. Your pass is "punched" & activated the day you begin using it. Very convenient. If you don't order your passes online, the hotel has a shuttle that runs to the transit station & other areas, you book the shuttle at a table inside hotel entrance.

From hotel you can easily & safely walk to TGIFridays, Starbucks, Calif Pizza Kitchen, Chipotle, PNC Bank, and a Houlihans across the street (use overhead pedestrian bridge).

Accomodations were comfortable, clean & conveniently located. Front desk was cordial & polite. Free parking. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

stayed 4 nites. booked via hotwire.. 1st mistake, but anway,
Internet was down the entire time. the hot water had to be tunred off for an entire day, room service and the only inside eating place had to be closed for the entire day, room was non smoking but the room and the hall smelled of smoke. the tv remote didnt work, room was Filthy, with a capital F. not all the channels worked on the Tv, channels kept fading in and out. Staff was very unprofessional, rude and unaccomodating. walls in the room were very dirty, paint plaster was peeling.
there was NO WAY this was a 3-star hotel. one of the worst experiences i have ever had with hotel stays. if you have a choice dont even wast your money and time staying here.

We do apologize for the events that happened while staying with us. At the time we were fixing our hot water pump.

My mom and I stayed here during fourth of July weekend and were pleasantly surprised. Our room was very comfortable, large and clean and the staff was accomodating and friendly and knowledgeable about the city. The hotel has a restaurant but is also in close walking distance to a TGI Fridays, Hoolihans and a Target store, also, which was a plus. The only complaint was the thin walls in the hotel and you could hear alot of noise during the evening, but it did not ruin our night's sleep. We got a great price each night (109.00) for both nights during our stay so we were very pleased considering some of the other hotels in the area were running $200.00 plus a night. And the best thing--FREE PARKING, which is important since nearly everywhere you go in Philadelphia charges outrageous prices for parking!
