Great food, fast service. Seating is a little tight, but manageable. The kimchi pancake is the best I've ever tried---

Love it here. Service is friendly and quick. Certainly not the type of spot you go for a lunch meeting, but the type you go with your co-workers for good food. Seating is limited, but alot of people take it to go, there are often a few counter spots open. Highly recommend.

Lunchtime became a lot more interesting with Giwa. This is a tiny place with very good Korean food that is fresh and not greasy.

For a hot filling lunch get #3 dol sot bibimbop.

This dish is a large bowl of rice topped with a generous amount of colorful vegetables, sliced egg, and the protein of your choice (beef, chicken, tofu, shrimp). I had the beef. I overheard some one order it with spicy pork, so I guess that is an option as well, though it's not on the menu!

The great thing about this dish is that it is cooked in a stone bowl directly over the gas burner. This results in the rice becoming slightly brown and crispy on the bottom of the bowl. Also, the bowl is sizzling hot - be careful! Just after cooking, the chef tops the bowl with lettuce and some green stuff that looks like finely shredded dried seaweed.

The bibimbop comes with a plastic cup of tangy Korean hot sauce. Add to taste and stir everything up as it sizzles and the aromas waft up to your nose! There are also two little side dishes, one of kim chee (spicy cabbage) and one of marinated diced cucumbers.

The browned rice adds a nutty flavor and slightly crunchy texture to the dish. You can substitute multigrain rice for additional charge, but I would not be inclined to do that as it might affect the texture and flavor of the dish.

This is a small place where you order and pay at the counter and they bring you the food. Bibimbop was $10.25, tip jar optional.

I recommend this dish and I'll be back for more!
