Nan Zhou is a staple in Philly's Chinatown and for good reason. The noodles are the star here and they either come in various kinds of soup or in various kinds of stir fries. For those that don't know, hand drawn noodles are like spaghetti and are made in the traditional Chinese method of beating and stretching the dough. The other option, also available at Nan Zhou are knife shaved noodles, made exactly as they sound, by shaving the noodles off of a single piece of dough into the boiling stock. You won't be disappointed with either choice. They also offer several appetizers including very good chicken curry dumplings. All meals are served with fragrant jasmine tea, and the restaurant is BYOB. Service is very good and prices are reasonable with most entrees under $10. I highly recommend this restaurant out of the many choices in Chinatown.
