It's great, I ordered the skirt steak and it was amazing. Also the empanadas are the BOMB!!! I recommend this to anybody in the area.

Had dinner here with some work colleagues and was pretty disappointed. The gnocchi were basically mashed potatoes and greasy. The chicken was the best part of my meal, well cooked but not exciting. Dessert was so so. We all had a house cocktail and they were terrible.
We had gone to Talula's Garden the night before and had an amazing meal. Farmicia was a waste by comparison.

We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch here. In fact, my Mexican Omelette was one of the best omelets that I've tried anywhere. For more pictures and commentary, check out www.gustatori.com.

With all the brunch venues available in Center City Philadelphia Farmicia does not make the cut. Although the ingredients had promise the outcome proved disappointing. A recent Superbowl Sunday brunch crowd was overflowing, but service was horrible and the food served cold. What does it take to get a second cup of coffee? We were not even finished the meager cheese plate, featuring 3 tiny slivers of unpalatable goo and unattractive brown chutney, when our server bruskly arrived with our entrees. They included cold grits and an omelette with hard unmelted pieces of Brie. At least the smoked salmon in their version of Eggs Benedict was tasty. Unfortunately, this, our second visit to Farmicia could not live up to an earlier one. It apparently has become a crowded tourist trap where the staff attempts to hurry patrons out the door while offering a poor experience.

Unique setting in old town, with simple well executed offerings. Keeping it simple, while creating healthy fare, is an art, and farmicia does it well.
