We came to GiGi with a LivingSocial voucher because we thought it was a good deal. Two soups or salads and four tapas for $29.....sounds good, right? Well, first off, we waited forever to put our order in. We knew then service will be slow and it'll be a long dinner.
My husband ordered the Caesar salad and I had the mozzeralla/tomato salad. His dressing was very bland and my balsamic dressing tasted like soy sauce!
It was probably another 20 minutes before our tapas came out. First two came out together - the BBQ pulled pork quesadillas and beer battered shrimp. The quesadilla was ok and the shrimp was good. At that point we thought maybe this place is ok.
Next came the mussels in red sauce. Looked good and tasted ok, however, a good third of the mussels never opened! They served us dead mussels! That just tells you how fresh their food is. And to top it off was the cheesesteak egg rolls. They were served on a bed of fresh lettuce. Once again, it looked good until my husband took a bite and noticed the inside was still cold (frozen egg rolls that weren't cooked long enough). We told the server and she apologized and said she will get us a new order. We waited about 10 minutes. When she came back with our dish, not only was the lettuce all wilted, but they re-fried the SAME egg rolls we returned (don't forget we took bites out of it). That just topped it off. We got the waitress back and complained about the mussels and the RE-fried egg rolls. She comped us dessert to go, which was a nice gesture. Oh yeah, the meal would have cost $70 bucks if we didn't have the coupon! I wouldn't even pay a quarter of that! Those prices are way too expensive for their food. Now I know better to check reviews first.
