Description: Amada is Chef Garces’ iconic first restaurant. Since opening in 2005, this gorgeous rustic-chic restaurant and bar has embraced the rich traditions of Spanish cuisine. Amada’s capacious dining room features a six-seat chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen, a comfortable second dining room and lounge area, an intimate private event space and a spacious bar area reminiscent of a typical Spanish bodega, complete with hanging jamons. Since opening Amada in Philadelphia in 2005, Chef Jose Garces has emerged as an enormous talent and one of the nation’s most gifted chefs and restaurateurs. Today, he is the owner and operator of more than a dozen restaurants across the country, plus a thriving event planning division and 40-acre Luna Farm.

And the menu lived up to its promise. The atmosphere was sophisticated and soothing the staff attentive without being instrusive. The plate décor was clever and contributed to the overall enjoyment. The dessert list was comprehensive.

This restaurant came recommended by 2 friends and it did not disappoint!!! Delicious Tapas for breakfast/lunch. I had the lemon ricotta pancakes with berries and the chilled almond soup with crab & my daughter had the Amada omelette... Both delicious!

Great service and beautiful decor!

Don't miss this spot!!!

Amada reminded me of some of the great tapas places we tried in Spain. We did the chef's tasting menu and by the end were completely stuffed. Must haves are the cheese and honey dish, Anchovies (yes you have to try them), bacon wrapped dates, the chicken and the empenada. The sangria was pretty good but not as delectable as the food.

We ate at Amada and the food/ambiance was great. I'd recommend the chefs selection and wine pairing, you won't be disappointed! So much food and we did 3 oz wine pairing; which was enough. Started off with flat bread and dip, anchovies appetizer, short rib on flatbread, crab, chorizo, scallops, paella, cauliflower, meringue dessert. I probably missed a few, but it was all delicious! There was 8 of us with work and everyone enjoyed.
