Description: Amada is Chef Garces’ iconic first restaurant. Since opening in 2005, this gorgeous rustic-chic restaurant and bar has embraced the rich traditions of Spanish cuisine. Amada’s capacious dining room features a six-seat chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen, a comfortable second dining room and lounge area, an intimate private event space and a spacious bar area reminiscent of a typical Spanish bodega, complete with hanging jamons. Since opening Amada in Philadelphia in 2005, Chef Jose Garces has emerged as an enormous talent and one of the nation’s most gifted chefs and restaurateurs. Today, he is the owner and operator of more than a dozen restaurants across the country, plus a thriving event planning division and 40-acre Luna Farm.

We could not stay away. We came back for lunch today after dinner last evening. We sat at the wonderful bar with great wines, white sangria and friendly bar-"ista's". We could have been in San Sebastián or Madrid.

We attended the summer pig out this past Sunday - and it was delicious. We've been to Amada many times, and it's worth the hour + drive. Our favorites are the roasted pork, and the white beans with rosemary.

Some friends and I were in Philly for a conference. We didn't have a reservation and they were booked solid. Fortunately, there was space at the bar. We ordered several tapas and they were delicious. The sangria is on point. The service was good though it can get a little hectic. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this place if you're looking for good food, good wine and good times with friends.

Although we did not have reservation we were able to able to be seated at that counter overlooking the food prep area. It was a lot of fun to watch. The food was fantastic. We highly recommend it

We had a fantastic lunch here. Everything we ordered was great. They have some unique offerings that are worth trying.
Service is top notch.
They have a really nice comfortable bar. The next we are in the area we are going to stop in for a drink for sure.
