“For terrific Tapas, try Amada”
Reviewed December 3, 2012 via mobile

For excellent, imaginative Tapas, in a lively bustling atmosphere, it's hard to beat Amada. Master Chef and restauranteur Jose Garces brings an original approach to what has become a very trendy cuisine, that sets his creations apart. The menu is so extensive that it takes a while to narrow down one' s choices. I would suggest trying dishes from a variety of categories. On a past visit, the Lamb Chops and seasonal Wild Mushrooms were both delicious. Keep in mind: all those small dishes can add up to a hefty bill. Experiment and enjoy.

“Tapas Tap-out”
Reviewed December 2, 2012

This is my favorite restaurant. Come to Philly 3-4 times a year just to dine here. Everything I order is amazing. My fave dishes are the scallops a la plancha and the Serrano ham, fig, maytag blue cheese salad. I have had everything off of the menu and it is all delectable.

Food is Tapas, small delectable portions. The Lamb Chops were wonderful and the food is a little unusual.

“The best ever”
Reviewed November 18, 2012

Oh, lordy, I loved this restaurant. As a fan of Iron Chef America, I was very happy to be able to go to Chef Garces' tapas restaurant. I was in Barcelona for a week this summer and I swear that the tapas at Amada was better than anything I had in Spain. Is that heretical? I was with a group of friends and everything we ordered was wonderful. We had a two bottles of a very expensive wine ($63) that I found on the internet for $10.29 so you just have to go with it. The wine was delicious. The service was excellent. We had a great time and cleaned our plates over and over again. The food itself was not that expensive. Highly recommended.
