We were all excited when TIffin opened a branch in Mt. Airy, and in truth it has been one of our go-to takeout places, especially when we have a mixed-vegetarian/omnivore crowd to please. We rarely eat in at the restaurant, which has limited seating space. A few pointers: the online menu is confusing, even for someone who has ordered from Tiffin dozens (literally) of times. You need to navigate through various pages to make sure you have the regular menu and the Mt. Airy location. The menu items are hard to locate-- they could really use a web-design. The food is quite expensive (there are better, cheaper Indian restaurants in the suburbs, but Tiffin is so convenient. )They do not stay open late. Twice I called around 9 PM to order take-out and was told in a surly way that I was calling too late. It also pays to check your order before driving away-- we have on more than one occasion found that the naan (that we'd paid for) was missing from the other. We drove back to get it.
