We were looking for an Indian restaurant on a Sunday in downtown Philadelphia. We were able to find this place after looking it up on TripAdvisor. We found it easily and were seated promptly upon entering. The server waited on us without delay. The interior was very inviting and pleasant. There were three of us and we ordered dishes to share. We had the shrimp biriyani, the tandoori chicken and cashmere chicken. The shrimp biriyani was very good and the tandoori chicken was done very well. However, the cashmere chicken was outstanding. The curry went well with the basmati rice and the roti bread. The prices were a little high for a restaurant of this type but the quality of the food was worth it. I would recommend this place if you are looking for Indian in downtown Philly.

We stopped in Palace at the Ben for lunch on a Sunday and were one of 3 tables, so it was quiet. The server was great and the Chicken Vindaloo was some of the best I have had in the Philly area.

What really sets Palace apart is the naan. It was fresh and when we ordered a second round, it took about 10 minutes for it to come out. They do not reheat premade naan and it makes for a much better bread.

We were roaming around philli downtown when we sort of bumped here. Awesome ambience, good service and equally good food. The cocktails are ew, but then again I have not had a good cocktail in any Indian restaurant before; may be they are not supposed to be good at them. On that thought they should stop serving them or at lest stop the bad ones.

It was a pleasure to eat here. Nice setting, wonderfully quiet , although it was early and not crowded. The food had a mix of northrn and southern indian cuisine, some old staples, but also some preparations not usually seen. All food we tried was excellent, the service was attentive. Overall a wonderful discovery, the best indian restaurant i tried in the area in quite a while
