We came to Philly for a mother -daughter reunion, there were six of us, we all agreed the rooms were great. Location perfect for what we wanted. The breakfast scene was a turnoff for anyone with taste buds. We are all coffee lovers and there was none to be found.

The "lavish breakfast" was microwave pancakes in our freezer or two muffins wrapped up in our fridge, canned juice and water.

The rooms are quaint, but the rest of the place is in shambles, and you only have access to your room, not to any other places in the house.

Neighborhood is a little iffy - lots of bars on windows, graffitti etc., but it is very convenient to historic sites.

We have stayed an numerous B&B"s in the USA and this one was the worse to date. We stayed in "The Hideaway" room and believe me this room should be hidden away. On their website they neglect to list that this is in a basement. It is damp with a lingering musty smell. The cockroaches just topped off the stay.

Unlike most B&B's that have some common area to meet or to have breakfast this B&B leaves it up to the guest to fix their own in their room. They only provide a coffee maker, frozen waffles, bottled orange juice and some snacks like microwave popcorn (which the cockroaches seemed to really love). We decided to go to "The Morning Glory diner" or "Sabrina's" which was a great escape from our room.

We also had a chance to look in a few other rooms since relatives were also staying here. The rooms are all decorated with old stuff that kind of looks like antiques. Some of the items don't look they have been cleaned and still have auction stickers on them. The 1950's kitchen set in our room was covered in goo on the underside edges. Again, the lack of a common place to meet was a real pain. It pretty much left us with the option of meeting in someones room, on the street or the diner down the block.

This place really shouldn't be calling itself a B&B since it is more like guest rooms stocked with some food.

The location is OK but parking is an issue. Parking outside the B&B is for only 2 hours until after 6pm.

We won't be staying here again.
