“Contemporary Greek and wonderful.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2014

Had a great meal of contemporary adaptations of Greek classics. The service was a bit dicey, because it is a place with lots of repeat customers and sometimes us newbies get lost in the bustle.

“Greek Food Gone Upscale”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2014 via mobile

On June 17, 2014, I dined at Estia. This is a must for those who like Greek and Mediterrean style food. Due to my Lebanese mother and Greek father, I grew up on this food with it was in-house ethnic. It from the home to the ethnic restaurants the village atmosphere. I think the food went downhill at some point in those restaurants. Estia has revived it with a flair. The menu offers a super selection. Nice wine list too. I had chicken and my habibi had skewer shrimps done to perfection. She likes seafood. We had just returned from New Orleans. She was disappointed. Estia made her happy. The waiters have to pass a food knowledge test. Our waiter showed his knowledge. My chicken and rice were well done, pleasing to the palate and eye. The same can be said for my Habibti's shrimp. The chef showed his/her skills and understanding of this ethnic food Make your reservation and go for this upscale Med food in an upscale atmosphere. Happy dining.

“Excellent food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2014

Our meal started with complementary humus and bread. The humus was fantastic. Very smooth with just the right amount of garlic and a touch of cayenne pepper. We split the spanokopita as an appetizer , it was light and fluffy and again, without any one overwhelming ingredient. Our Greek salads were truly authentic with no lettuce , just tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, onion, peppers and a wonderful feta. Outside of the ones I had in Greece, this was the best Greek salad ever. For the entree we shared a whole red snapper. It was beautifully prepared and delicious. The only negative was that it did have quite a few small bones so we had to take care to avoid them. Service was knowledgable and attentive. I would definitely return.

“Excellent food, but a little loud, a little warm, a little slow.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2014

We went on a friday evening, before going to the theatre. It is right around the corner from the Academy of Music. We arrived at 630. When we sat down the waitress asked if we we had theatre tickets and we said yes for 8pm. We ate from the 'theatre' menu, $30 for 3 courses. Place was packed, so the noise level was a little loud but not unbearable. It was also a beautiful spring night so they had the front windows (floor to ceiling) all open. Lovely thought, however we were in the middle of the restaurant where there was not much breeze from the lovely night and not much if any air conditioning. it was very stuffy.
Pita bread and humus was first , It was FABULOUS! We chatted and chatted not really paying attention to the time. Then the appetizers came out. Again the food was FABULOUS!!!!
At 735 our entrees came out. Also FABULOUS, but we had to eat them fast becasue we had 8:00pm curtain. We had to take our dessert with us, and we left the restaurant ran to the theatre and sat down, curtain went up. Cutting it way to close for my taste.
Like I said, Food was fabulous. But service was slow.
