We went on the tour with two children, 5 and 9. Our 9 year old has some anxiety and was really worried about getitng on but the tour guide explained everything really well and she was at ease for most of the trip. The whole trip took about a little longer than the 90 minutes they announced. I am glad this was the first thing we did in the city because we saw many of the sites that we wanted to visit later on. It gave us a chance to scope out the spots, see which were worth visiting and which were not, see how close they were to the center of the city and figure out where to eat afterwards. If nothing else, this tour is worth it for the drive through planning. Lol. But it was very cool, the kids loved quacking at strangers at the intersection and two weeks later are still playing with the little quacker whistles we got. Splashing into the river was sooo cool. We took pictures of the Jersey side of the river and the bridge. Our tour guide was hilarious and informative, could not have asked for more.

This tour is best for those with kids. You don't get told much history - more simply pointed out the key buildings. We had fun and paid the ticket principally for the quirkiness of going on a vehicle that travels on land and the water in one tour.

I found a groupon to Ride the Ducks in Philadelphia and although Phila doesn't really excite me, I thought the Duck experience might be fun. Was I ever glad we went! The tour was so much fun and quite informative. The captain expertly navigated the vehicle through the streets of Philadelphia and not only gave us information but also told us lots of great stories about the places we passed. The portion of the tour where we splashed down and motored along the Delaware river was really fun. The captain was very nice, fun, and knowledgable. The only thing I didn't like was that parking in Philadelphia cost more than the duck boat tour!

Perhaps the activity is fun when you are with kids under the age of 10; other than that there is not much to see or do. Sure enough, the change from a road vehicle to a boat is interesting and so it is probably worth the price of your tickets, but there is not much sightseeing, either during the ground or water part of the ride. The courtesy of the staff, the way the ride is organized, an opportunity to purchase your framed pictures, etc., all of the above is quite satisfactory though, no complaints.

My daughter wanted to see the historic area of Philadelphia. Started our day on a Ride the Ducks tour. Our tour guide combined fun with a history lesson. We laughed and learned for a 90 minute tour. It was topped off with a splash down for a quick cruise in the Delaware river. Highly recommend to start your day in Philly.
