This theater is tops! The kid shows are incredible and the adult shows are great too. Every seat is a good seat. You won't be disappointed. Plus there are some great restaurants in close proximity.

We have had the series at the Arden for many years, and rate it the best of the five play theaters that we go to regularly. I'm a tough critic, and there may be one a year that I don't like. It's just consistently top notch performers and performances. There are 2 theaters to fit the play, the seating is movable, and well suits the play at hand. We have had no problem changing seats when necessary.

FYI, we also go to the Walnut, Philadelphia Theater Company, Wilma, and 1812.,

We are not subscribers since we live too far away and have lives to busy to commit to the full set of plays. But whenever we come, we come away wishing we could subscribe. They do quality stuff! And there is great variety in what they produce over a year.

The theater is small enough that all seats are good. The only difficulty is the parking cost and/or time needed to hunt for it.

Took our daughter to two plays here which she loved. It's a very intimate space but with good acoustics and a large enough stage area to see some terrific entertainment. The actors all come out after the performances for the smaller children which is wonderful.

Over the years we've been to dozens of productions here. Some of them are edgy, rarely is there anything that is a mainstream box office sensation or a Broadway knock-off. They are always inspired productions with outstanding actors. The performance spaces are intimate and pretty comfortable, and all seats have great views. The neighborhood is a fun one, too, with lots of restaurants, funky shops and galleries.
